Thursday’s ep had the best Abed moment in a good long while. The rest of the ep was thoroughly decent, and a bit more character-driven than the show has been in recent eps. I like that they haven’t totally reset the Jeff/Shirley friendship.
The Pierce/Chang thing was obviously tacked on to give those characters something to do in a plot that had no use for them, but it was kept to a minimum and they squeezed some good gags out of it.
I saw him do standup about a year ago, he was really good. A lot of the same material here:

The comedian who was up before him was really funny also, and he actually picked up some chick during the middle of his set. She literally passed him her phone number after he started joking with her, so they could meet up after the show.
So Glover comes on stage a few minutes later and starts talking about how crazy that is. And he’s like “I don’t want to call you a slut or anything, but…what should I call you?”
Yeah. I was actually able to download the whole thing off youtube. Censored version though. I’ll probably get the uncensored one once I find out if it’s any longer.
It is good though. Though I stan for Glover’s rapper alter-ego, Childish Gambino, I didn’t think a special from him would be very funny. Weirdo was a pleasant surprise.
I’m guessing the “I need someone’s help reacting to something” line? Agreed. I turned to my wife and said “Well, that’s the best line of the night, no question…”
Yeah, it got me to crack up, which is not exactly in character for me.
Here’s how nice I am. For everybody on Twitter, you can tweet #EnterTheDreamatorium and #CommunityThursNightNBC for a chance to win a signed Community script. You have to put both hash tags and it can’t be a retweet.
Obviously, I did this myself and I’m only damaging my own chances of winning by telling people about it… but that’s what makes me so friggin’ nice.
Saw a negative review for the Troy & Abed In the Morning coffee mug on the NBC online store, citing “poor image quality”.
It’s a replica of a coffee mug that is supposed to have been made by two community college students to advertise their morning show that doesn’t fucking exist, not even in-universe. How good is the image quality supposed to be?
15 bucks for a mug… I expect some sort of decent quality. But aside from that the new episode of Community was great! I laughed every 3 minutes or so throughout the entire thing. Very big news [depending if you care] about something happening to someone in the show.
…My point is that the image looks exactly how it’s supposed to look, because it matches the mug on the show. That’s the point of a replica.
And I got it for 10 bucks. Don’t be a sucka.
Anyway, I got to it late, but good ep. Some interesting role reversals–Annie and Jeff, Shirley and Abed, and even Troy and Abed as the good cop and the bad cop.
What did everybody think of last night’s episode? I thought it was funny. I feel like the season started off slow but it’s picking pace up and becoming better.
I liked it as well, the ending has me pumped for next weeks episode.

ROFL @ fake dean, I am also glad Chang is up to his old tricks. The new friendly Chang was making his character a little dull imho. Now that the gang is expelled from Greendale, it gives them more reasons to go crazy thinking of a way to get back in.
I have a problem with this line of thinking because this season has given us some early gems, specifically Remedial Chaos Theory, which may have been teh best written episode ever. I would venture to say top 3 best written show of the entire year for all of television. However, as a whole, this season has been weaker than season 2. I don’t know if last nights episode pulled it up much, but it was an enjoyable episode.
