I wholeheartedly agree standardization is not the way but as long as public schools are as they are its the best we can do to try various configurations of that the government isnt ever going to NOT treat education like a business. Schools technically arent public they are government owned, funded(via the public) and governed. The reading rainbow thing that happened last week actually gives me hope for something like crowd funded schools down the line it seems people actually care about education its just no one seems to be taking up office that shares that passion.
