Hey guys, I just need some advice or links to explanations on executing a command grab and kara-canceling information. I’m very good with normal combos and basic fighting but didn’t use command grab characters like Hagger in vanilla and need help in UMVC3.
I’ve been trying to use Nemesis and Ghost Rider, but pulling off their level 3 grab supers seem impossible. How am I supposed to time it or set that up, because clearly they can’t be combo’d into.

All you do to kara cancel into a command grab in UMVC3 is do the normal and quickly do the grab. You cancel the attack before the hitting portion comes out. Nemesis can do cr.h xx l command grab to get beast range.
You can tick throw off cr.l with command grabs in Marvel but people can just jump out of them if they see them coming.
The most common way is to put them in pressure situations. Usual way with Haggar in vanilla was: Against characters that are too short when they crouch, lariat, they’ll crouch under and start spamming L to hit when the invincibility runs out, then at that point, you cancel to Lv3. Problem with Nemesis is that his grab has a slow-ass startup, so it can get hit out of it, losing you the 3 bars :(.
Yeah, Nemesis’ Lv 3 grab sucks. It’s pretty much better to always use a regular command grab with him.
