Combos off the overhead?

combos off the overhead? and divekick help

I’m not too sure what to do after a UOH or f.mk
i can’t seem to combo anything off of it?
what should be done?

my buddy always ducks when he gets up so i can hit him with the overhead but after that he starts to turtle again and i canot do much…or i get sweeped =S

also any advice on how to do crossup dive kicks?
i dunno if i try i usually get blocked and im still pretty high in the air so i get owned.

any advice on positioning? like where I should be aiming to hit them (currently working on hitting in the shins lol)

i’m not quite sure how to describe the distance, but you can link s. short -> EX Torou Zan after Yang’s UOH. it’d definitely not point blank distance. best i can put it is Yang’s hand hits at max range making him land like, immediately after the hit comes. you can’t combo after his personal overhead (twds + forward kick).

so it’s like so:

UOH -> s. short -> EX Torou Zan

You can combo after meaty towards MK:

Meaty towards MK, st. LK, EX Mantis

Meaty UOH, st. LK, EX Mantis also works at point blank distance.

both of those meatys get parried =( i guess im not timing it right

it’s not a timing issue… if your opponents have decent reflexes they can parry those meatis on reaction. You have to “teach” the opponent to block low, and mix it up with command grab too.

yeah i do that somteimtes i’ll do an overheard too early and then just start poking low while he tried to block high

still havent really used command throw yet, he ducks too much

Yang’s UOH is too easy to see coming! :r: + :mk: is definintely the way to go!
