Warning: you have prolly heard a lot of this before but I will just assume that you haven’t as you said you are new to the game (please don’ be mad for me wirting too much! lol):
Firstly, use SA3, it is blatantly Kens best super art. The meter builds up quickely and there are many other reasons which I can’t be bothered to state here.
One of the most effective combos that you can do with Ken is cr.strong–> SA3. Its mainly because the cr.strong can be cancelled so late and the super will still connect because SA3 sort of ‘sucks’ the opponent in.
Another great combo is cr.forward–> jab dp x 2. The second jab dp can be connected in midscreen as long as it is a Kara dp (use cr.forward and cancel into dp before the move even comes out), if you are in the corner then you can time the second dp to connect without making it a Kara one. This combo as much (maybe more) damage than cr.forward–>SA3, and it BUILDS meter instead of reducing it so its worth learning. Also remeber that you don’t have to kara dp if you catch your opponent with a EX hurricane in the air, you will land before them (like gouki) and you can then connect 2 jab DP’s.
More flashy combos are (close)st.strong, st.fierce, fierce fireball (NOT and EX one)–> SA3. Make note that this reduces the SA3 damage by quite a bit. on some chars i.e. chun li or makoto (and some others, can’t remember now, do’h!) you can do the above but instead of fb, do a fierce DP and cancel into SA3. OR you can just do the two uppercuts (st.strong, st.fierce) into any super which is cool. OR if you don’t wanna use up any meter, then you can just do the 2 uppercuts into a light DP (a very common combo) but if you are using SA3 then don’t cancel it into super because your opponent will be launched and it won’t connect properly.
Another thing to try is against elena, you can do an EX hurricane and you will switch sides but then you can do an SA3 before she recovers.
A good pressure game is to use EX fireballs when you feel you can waste some meter, but make sure you catch opponent in block stun before you do it, otherwise chances are it will be parried.
And finally, another good mind game is to do tap (i.e cr.Short)–>dash, throw on almost anyone (almost ST style!) and when your opponent is on wake up, do back + forward (overhead) and you can connect SA3 form that as well but the timing is a little hard (but easier than dudleys overheads into supers). It is also possible to connect UOH into supers and the damage is god, but you must be at the right length depending on which char you are fighting. Oh yeah and don’t forget ground cross ups as well as air ones. If you don’t know what ground cross ups are then just ask. Remember to abuse kens dash, it works well in mind games and trickery because it is very fast.
