Does anyone in C-bus know anything about this CPS2 multi-game board? Says it uses no emulation. This sounds like a deal at $220 or whatever.
I can ask the Games on Main owner, I think he had that board at one point, but I might be mistaken. I’ll let you know.
Most of those old system multi boards don’t need emulation. They take the original hardware, and add memory chips containing more roms for the games.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that they can’t have some issues though. The memory chips that they use on the boards are usually a lot lower quality than the originals.
But the 16-1, 32-1, 48-1 boards tend to work really well.
I’ve heard a lot of people on the other arcade boards who run those with no issues.
Most of the problems seem to arise when a board is just emulating lots of different systems, or when they cram too many bootleg versions of roms on there.
I think you’d be fine with that one.
