Also, my MvC2 random team generator is almost done. There are a few bugs to work out. Then I need someone to give me a decent division for my Top, Mid, and Low tier buttons so I can implement those. Finally I need a place to post the code on the net. I might have a place already, but I’m not sure.
Edit: For those who don’t know, the old random team generator site has been down for awhile, so I thought I would write code to replace it.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s pretty easy to make one like the old one using JavaScript. I did something like that once and it’s easy for me to modify it to pick random MvC2 teams. Would a Windows application be more useful?
I’m seriously considering remaking the random team generator today. Anyone know where I can host a single HTML page with about 1000 page views per day?

Attached is my random generator in .txt format. Switch the extension to .html from .txt and open with firefox. Currently the assist options and the top mid and low tier buttons don’t work.
Edit: Tier buttons are go! Assist ban options will be up soonish.

Edit: In programming, it’s a good idea to always finish what you start. My generator is basically complete, so I’m going to stop working on it now. It’s http://hitstun.webs.com/mvc2random.htm . When we can get a host with decent bandwidth, it want to take screenshots of all assists for all characters to put in Ed’s generator.
Edit 2: Updated mine again to add basic character bans. It was really easy to do now that I thought about my code a little. I don’t plan on doing assist bans unless I figure how to do it without any work. By the way, I found some portraits for all 56 characters that we might be able to use.
Edit 3: Or just use the Marvel and Capcom buddy icons from tu4ar.com - I’ll upload those to my Freewebs site for now.

Thanks for the tier list. Will add that feature proly sometime in the next few days. I’ll try to implement the assist options at that time as well. Until then people can manually exclude the tiers themselves. Unfortunately the assist options don’t work at all right now. Removing assists will probably be the last option I implement.
Once the SRK wiki is back online I’m going to consider linking character names to their pages on the wiki. I also want to add little pictures of each character’s face. Appearance will only be worked on after all the functionality is absolutely complete.
