Wow, Brady DID say he was top tier. I still want to see some of the SZ stuff he was alluding to in the podcast, b/c I still don’t see Sub Zero as the best character in the game.
perhaps for the time being. if you notice, Sub has to dash cancel that unblockable to get around the opponent not blocking it “correctly” (to prevent the re-freeze). If folks simply look out for that, then in theory you should be fine (basically dont hold block [or hold it until you see that he’s going for the set up, then release it] and the minute you see the dash, hit the button…there’s nothing else you should be looking out for in this scenario). Its one of those tactics that’ll be really strong now and will phase out.
…The only way this wont phase out and actually be a strong strat (perhaps too strong…especially if it forces the person to take +50% life with no option out…breakers/armor/x-ray options aside) is if there’s a way to begin the actual unblockable a bit later than Mr Brady was performing it to get around them not holding down block AND get the refreeze…but then the window might be big enough for the opponent to successfully get a counter poke out in time…or give them an even bigger window to get their x-ray/armor move out…or maybe even get a backdash out? (im not familiar with the properties on backdashes in this game at the moment).

@ Keyon: I’m well aware that Charlotte is having a tournament on 5/14 and I’d like to attend them both. However, it’s the only day the owner could get for a tournament in May without possibly conflicting with Augusta Super and another ATL Revival at the month’s end. 5/4 would be way too early to schedule a tournament/pull in attendance and I’m not gonna stop you guys from going to Charlotte if you wanna go.
Well to be honest I would rather go to a tourney here than Charlotte. I thought it may effect you since you seem to be really cool with the Charlotte guys and I thought you may not have known it was the same day as their tourney since I know you like going up there.
