But man I don’t know about Cammy right now. I tried playing her right when AE dropped and my muscle memory just kept flicking the stick to tkcs and it was driving me nuts. I actually picked up T.Hawk of all people because I wanted to learn a grappler and get a better grip on my footsie game. I was top 30 T.Hawk for quite some time before I kind of stopped playing in favor of Marvel again. I have gone back though and I played like 50 or so games with Cammy against two of my buddies who are really good. Stopped playing her for a while helped, and I started hitting links again and doing the new combos (plus full sako combo is cake now). Embarrassingly enough I thought about picking Yun, not because he’s good but because I like dive kicks and not rekkas. I wish he wasn’t as good so I wouldn’t get as much shit for picking him haha.

Second round, guy picks Scorpion (he happened to apparently be trash talking to the dude I beat first round or something). I pick Skarlet. This is how that went.
Him: "I have never played a Skarlet before."
Me: “Wow. Well, you’re in for a treat! Just do what you do.”
Proceed to wipe the floor.
Would like to state a very important thing: I did not pick Skarlet because she has two glitches. I picked her because I like her and she can be ridiculous. As for the two glitches:
- The back throw does 17%. But I never threw anyone. Not even forward throw (which does a normal 11%).
- The dash slide can cancel into the up slash, allowing for a real 50/50 with major damage going either way. But I didn’t do that. You have to honestly TRY to do that because of the timing (pretty strict). It’s also beyond gay. I’d rather use the slide a couple of times to move the opponent near the corner, then do 50% meterless corner combos, or 46% resets.
What is this ECG that been getting brought up as of late? i dont recall ever hearing it get mentioned till after the fact here, nor do i recall anything being mentioned at the casuals i attended.
It’s been posted on the front page for months and it was an MK9/COD tourney - That’s probably why you never heard much mention of it. Hell, you were one of the first people talking about going for COD teams with Mike.
@ karapalm: Thanks, I’ll make sure to come back with some more new tech and aim for 1st place again. It’s always nice playing against you because you’re constantly coming up with new setups.
MK9… you know, that game that is still being supported with DLC and balance patches and won’t have a substitute after 9 months of release.
O shit, that tournament. Yea now i recall. I just havent played CoD in about a week or 2 so it hasnt been on my mind…ive been paying really close attention to all the UMvC3 changes and stuff

From what Keyon told me yesterday, a team with an 8 year old took first place and $600, lol. It was winner take all, so they got paid.

You should definitely try her out in casuals today, at least for a little bit. I’ve been mainly experimenting with Magnetism and maximizing my damage output on EFC combos. Also, flash kick is great against dealing with cross-ups. I’m still mad Xie lost that one round to Flash Kick > Super XD
Wish I could say the same for MK9. But I suppose $100 is nice too…

@ Eskay: Why do Clarice’s slashes hurt so much? Had too much fun last night and can’t wait to show you some new Petra setups I came up with. I think we’ve covered about 80% of the roster and Keyon messes with the other characters we really haven’t touched (Lilica, Lisalette, Dorothy, Nazuna).
