@uvolt. done and done
@ GigaDukeBug: I know what’s it’s like working on the weekends. It’ll be nice getting a chance to meet you for the first time and I wasn’t in the scene around the time of Fall Brawl. Your also welcomed to chill at my place, if you wanted to stay in Cola a bit longer after the tourney.
@ Eskay: Yea, you were definitely in the early stages with Tsubaki before you dropped. I can only imagine what those replays look like.
If anyone wants to come by my house for some practice today around 6pm, let me know. I’ll probably be busy on Wednesday and Thursday, since I’ll be celebrating with my younger bro for graduating boot camp.
I probably stop by like after 6pm.
Im not sure what my plans for tonight are so i cant be sure whether or not id be able to stop by since ive managed to actually see this before the event goes down, but if im able to, i will.
Ben and I will be there
I see you’ve discovered an ancient Chinese secret.
Those combos might’ve been tasty in training mode, but Noel left the FT5 starving. GGs David. I still hate doing FT5s, even if I win them. Btw, next time I see you, we need to talk about something that has been bothering me lately.
@ Thomas: You did destroy me in the FT5 and the better player won by far. Since you don’t like doing FT5’s I’ll stop asking you about it. After casuals yesterday against you and Xavier, it made me realize how bad I am in both games, so I’ll have to re-evaluate what I’m gonna do about the Bi-Weekly this Saturday. It seems like my hours of practice don’t even show when I play.
One thing I can say David, even though I wasn’t there last night, just watching your videos and playing against you, is that I’ve noticed you like to press buttons alot and habitually die to frame traps. You like pressing buttons when you should be blocking.
I know I suck too. Just wanted to mention that as something to work on in the future

Honestly…this has been mentioned before in previous “leveling up” discussions (i really dont want to rummage thru past posts to find the 3-4 posts i made in regards to that but im 95% sure i hit on that problem, or said it less directly)…and it definitely is not limited to just 1 person here. RESPEK YO OPPONENT
@ SimpleKiss: That’s something I already know needs work, but thanks anyway.
@ Lei Hates: Yep, that’s something most of us need to work on.
Since I won’t be seeing my brother until tomorrow, if anyone wants to come by for some practice feel free to do so. I’ll be practicing for the sake of doing so, even though I still don’t feel I’m ready to enter the tournament this Saturday.
This
@Jaguar: Not sure if this helps any, but i think your putting too much emphasis on winning during casuals. For me, whenever i show up at casuals i always show up to learn/practice. I spend more time analyzing whats happening on the screen than i do worrying about winning. Alot of what i’ve learned has come from focusing on mistakes or areas that im weak in. FT5’s tend to change a persons line of thinking. Rather than sharing info they’re strictly concentrated on the win. While thats great for showcasing what you know, it doesn’t help with what you dont know. So rather than using casuals as way to measure progression, maybe you should focus on learning what you feel is missing. And let your tourny results speak for your progress instead.
‘goes back to hyper-bolic time chamber’
GG’s to everyone from yesterday. Last night was the first time I’ve enjoyed playing Tekken in a while, surprisingly enough. I think I’ll just learn a few setups with Julia and see what happens. I also liked the sessions I had with AwardTour and I got to try a new play style with Rose that I’m feelin’. In BBCS, I’m currently in limbo, when it comes to which character I’m better with now. It’s like once I got in Noel mode, now I suck with any other character. However, I was starting to get back in the groove with Noel again and now I feel a bit more motivated to play her again. I still don’t wanna play at the tournament this Saturday, but we’ll see…
I guess ill go ahead and post this but my attendance at this week’s tournament is looking like it wont be happening. Im planning on going to Charleston to visit a friend today and dunno when exactly ill be back in town but im assuming it wont be in time for the tournament.
GL to all of u and ill see if i can catch the stream. I’ll be looking forward to the results…it should be pretty interesting.
No more school until Janyouhairy!!!
What are you guys doing next week? Myrtle Beach laser tag!?!?!?
Don’t crouch and infinity tap the trigger when we play or I’ll rage! D:<
@ Lei Hates: Well I hope you enjoy your trip there with your friend. Like you said, you’ll still be able to watch the stream. It seems like there might be some more new faces showing up this time, so I’m looking forward to the results as well.
@ Icege: How many people are planning on doing laser tag and what day of the week?
Edit:
@ Eskay: Damn you and your “forbidden fruit” Now I’ve been spoiled by HD quality shows.
I don’t know. I saw they were talking about it on Facebook and suddenly started missing the Q-Zar we used to have down here. It’s got me wanting to play
I was thinking of going up there on Monday or Wednesday next week if I can get the days off. I might end up having to work everyday (including Christmas)
Kevin Flynn . . . . . WHERE ARE YOU NOW!!!
OK, after seeing an El Fuerte vid, I have to say… they changed something?
Then again the dude wasn’t testing the changes, he was just doing his thing.
Confirmed: RSF still works.
EX Guacamole seems exactly the same, but dude didn’t try a non-EX one so no dice. Only one Tortilla attempt at a jumping opponent, TERRIBLY timed so even by Super’s standards, he would’ve been hit out of it.
Confirmed: Waiting for the wave of people jumping on the Makoto bandwagon.
