Nah, but in all seriousness it was almost sad how outclassed everyone was when we showed up. I double-trolled with Morrigan’s fireball game and Phoenix sometimes zoned people to the point of extreme annoyance, and other times zoned people to the point of hating her. That was before the game was even sold.
Of course, there’s a small problem with having to hit all four attack buttons for X-Factor and a having normal attack coming out instead, especially when you’re Phoenix and are trying to avoid Iron Man’s Iron Avenger lol
But I lost gracefully, then I couldn’t resist and bought the game there and we had a relatively small pow-wow to try new characters out. I found that She-Hulk is “El Fuerte” annoying. I couldn’t stop running, I was like “WTF woman, stop it! AH, STOP!” I will need more practice with her.
C. Viper is pretty disgusting. She’s safe as a mofo, and to make matters worse, she can still jump cancel her Seismos but they come out so much quicker. Plus she can end every corner combo with Burst Time because it OTG’s, and it also hits people who are still burning from a Burning Kick before they hit the ground.
People I like so far: T. Bonne, Felicia (two obvious ones), Phoenix, C. Viper (both of which should NEVER be on the same team), Haggar, She-Hulk
People I’ll give a try but definitely not now: Arthur, Thor, X-23, Trish, Dante

I’m having Marvel casuals at my house starting at 11am. I was messing around in training mode and I’m lovin’ Tron with a Chun assist and visa versa for more than half life off 1 bar. I also discovered that Tron’s gustaff fire negates projectiles, is an anti air and she’s got that new Psylocke assist with her gustaff fire.
Chun also has a lightning legs jump cancel loop in the corner that can be continued with Tron or start a reset. I’ve also discovered a couple of good setups with Morrigan’s Finishing shower and Astral Vision. I’m liking Tron/Chun/Morrigan even more as my main team now.
I would also like to state the obvious and say that the MvC3 guidebook is definitely worth its puny $20 price tag. Moves, combos, setups, move properties, frame data, along with specific, detailed information about the characters’ strengths, weaknesses, best strategies and how to carry them out (for example, how to get close with Haggar so he can do his crap)…
The only thing that would make this guide more complete is if it had embedded video with the hitboxes.

@Usagi; I was under the impression that even if you have the collector’s edition, the voucher itself mentioned that the DLC wouldn’t be available until one month after release, which means he can’t try Jill yet.
I’ve already made my peace with the fact that she’s not the same as the old Jill, but also that the guide seems to enjoy a bit too much telling us that she has TWO INFINITES.
No, seriously, instead of thousands of damage that the combo does, it simply says 100%, which basically means it can one-shot anyone in the game if she gets it started. And these are meterless combos, by the way.

Yep, that’s 5 bars of ridiculous combo. Why the hell not? If you do this same combo during X-Factor (level 3), and end it with the :qcb:+AA it does over 1,400,000 damage, killing Sentinel. Unfortunately the timing is different due to the X-Factor speed up, but hey.
The combo can be done, up until you hit the air S, outside of the corner. An OTG assist may help you dash in to continue but I haven’t put that much thought into it.
I’m gonna co-sign on this. The guide is actually written my top players such as Buktooth. It has all sorts of awesome info, more than these things usually have. It’s around 400 pages. Plus, by supporting this guide , it lets Capcom know we want more like it!

Trying to chase after Trish for hours on end is always loads of fun, lol. I’ve also got to work on perfecting my combos of of air hit confirms with Tron and keep trying to maximize her damage…She’s got a lot of potential. The next tournament is only a few days away! Get hype!!!
@Jaguar131: Question about the Marvel rules for the tourney? Why is the winner able to switch teams. Usually in 3v3 team games loser gets to switch team but winner has to stay with the same team and order.
