Hey guys, Whats up! I was just coming by the neighboring states’ threads to let yall know about the tournament we are having in NC!!!
We are having several games hosted here including Super Street Fighter IV Singles and Teams, BlazBlue Continuum Shift, Arcana Heart 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 among other titles. We also have 2 special guests participating; EMP Andre and EMP Remix!!! So come down and have a good time!!! It’s Lucky’s Onslaught, February 19th in Greensboro, NC
@awardtour, Fucking terrible. Which is why I haven’t gone any further atm with David building a website or put up a thread. The company my co-worker let me go through to get the place set up backed out, which means no discount, and I’d be paying an extra $200.00 to get it going.
It’s also part of the reason why I might not go to FR. If I go to final round, no tournament in September for sure. if I don’t go to FR, I still might not have the money.
Final rounds going to be hype
Good games to everyone who came by my house for casuals yesterday. I think I’ve finally found the secret to beating Catherine’s herp derp in AH3! I can’t stop moving and crossin’ up that trick, otherwise it’s hit confirm for 40% of my life. I’ll also be having casuals at my house today from 7pm - whenever. I’ll also be having a weekend session that’ll go into super bowl sunday. Hope to see some you guys there!
@ SimpleKiss: If it’s gonna be going too much out of your way, I wouldn’t worry about it. I’d honestly not stress it for the time being and we can always replan, when financial situations are more favorable.
@ Cola: I spoke with Phillip yesterday and there’s seems to be another venue for us to host tournaments at called Game Nation. They sell games, repair 360’s and offer other services. They’re even willing to have someone cater our tournaments for free. The only issue I’m having with the venue right now is that the owner doesn’t want to do any cash prizes ala pot money. I’ll call him tomorrow, in order to get more info about the venue and see if he may reconsider. If so, then we’ve got another awesome venue to work with. If not, Maddness still holds it’s purpose of giving us a place to host tournaments for cash prizes…I’ll let you all know how it develops.

FR special rate rooms are sold out for Thursday and Sunday!! If some of you guys haven’t reserved a room, you need to jump on it! The regular rates are gonna be higher and only climb as the days pass on. shinblanka is gonna try to get more thursday and sunday rooms, but I wouldn’t recommend waiting any longer. I can only fit so many people in one room -____-
I have been to Game Nation it is actually a pretty good place to do stuff like that not only is it not in the middle of nowhere it is right near a bunch of places to eat and the guys there are pretty cool as to the no money pot rule I am not really sure what to say for that it definitely would be a good place to do casuals I know they do 5 dollars gets you a hr of play time on their setup and the space is really open not cramped as all get out.

Here is the address the selection of games they have honestly sucks, but like I said the guys there are pretty damn cool. Like I was saying earlier not having a cash pot in my opinion honestly is a good idea for them cause you just dont know what might happen when money gets involved especially in that area.

Thanks everyone for coming over for my birthday celebration/superbowl weekend get together. I definitely appreciate the gifts, food and drinks you all provided. This one of my most enjoyable birthday celebrations yet. Perfect Dark was also a good escape from the usual fighting games we play all the time.

Do you see where I am going with this? Do you? If you don’t then I’ll explain, sir.
What that means is that since all we do is play fighting games when we go -anywhere- that it tends to burn people out. Especially those within the community. More often than not, it creates a lot of tension and causes unnecessary confrontation. So we do other genres of games or maybe even go out in daylight in order to break away.
