Dugeon Fighter you play combat arms as well

@ DMajorBoss: Hey bro! What’s your handle on Dungeon Fighter Online? I might have to play with you some time. I haven’t been on DFO in a minute

I wanna thank everyone for coming out to the Bi-Weekly today and congratz for Byron taking first in everything. I believe BBCS actually have more entrants than SSFIV this time. Also Red Bowl has spoiled me and now I must strive to eat the finer fried rice in life, lol. That Sapporo was also very good. Sorry to everyone who wanted to watch the stream today. My dazzle recorder literally sizzled before it clunked out on me, but I have this HDMI capture card coming on the way and this HDMI splitter. The next Friday casuals at Maddness, I plan on testing out.

I’m more surprised at myself that I decided to go with a three day Valkenhayn and managed to capture third. Guess my hard work paid off, in the end. I had some close calls there, especially with my match against Pat ( That Tager vs Valkenhayn that I believe is at least a 6-4 in Tager’s favor. ) Kudos to Byron stay true to the Bang nation and taking third, even if he is the one that sent me to losers only to be peaced out by Jacob in losers finals. ( 3-2 … So close! >.< )

I felt that playing Valkenhayn in the tournament was a better choice. Not only did I obtain the match up experience, I got a chance to perfect combos I could not do days prior. To those that got bodied - thanks for being my testing dummy. To those that got close to beating me or beat me, thanks for the match up experience. Now that I think about it… I lost nothing at all from this tournament.

Cheer

Now… to obtain my own system so I can consistently practice Valkenhayn. :open_mouth: I should pull a Gootecks and do the " Thomas needs a PS3 " donation service. LOL I kid, I kid.

On DFO, you can find me under one of these six:

Ryntz
Rynee
Frynter
Fryntia
Shiryda
Sirytz

Hope to see you there sometime. As for Combat Arms, I’ll give it a try one day, if it doesn’t kill my system.

There is not as many hackers as there were when it was first released three years ago.

Yo, no lie, I had Red Bowl fried rice 3 times in the week I was there for Christmas. So gdlk…

@Jag - Thanks for posting those devices, I have been looking around for powered splitters. There is also a place off of Leaphart Rd. in W. Cola called Cables and Connections. They have the same (usually better) prices on a lot of AV/ Networking equipment that you find onlne. I got about 200ft. of Cat5E for 15 bucks a while back. When I was in college, and was hooking my Dorm Room up, I used them alot. Check them out!

@ Thomas: Your hardwork paid off indeed. I was surprised to go 3-2 yesterday too, since I haven’t practiced in a while. Here’s your new Valk avatar. I would have made it when I got home, but watching D.Gray-man kinda absorbed my life for a few hours. I’m also watching the Last Exile and really like it so far.

@ DMB: I’ll have to look for those Usernames when I play. Also, what the name of the other MMO you were playing? I wanna get back into playing Dragonica, if the servers are back up.

@ U-Volt: When rice taste that good, I can’t blame you for going back three time in one week XD

@ Optimus: Cool, I might go browsing in there one day just to see what they have. I’m actually pretty excited about getting the new streaming equipment and maybe I can run Wirecast without it crashig now, lol.

Sure, my hard work paid off… but I wanted to eliminate Jacob. I was so upset when I dropped the combo that would be the end of the match and make it 3-2 for me. Only for him to 6A me and I couldn’t do anything about it because I lacked a burst. Second would’ve been much more satisfying than third. Then again, top 5 two tournaments in a row is also good.

All this talk about Blazblue makes me want to play Blazblue… >.>

If I had a converter or an Xbox stick, I would’ve bought it last night when Ben and I went to Gamestop. I even would’ve bought the points so I could have Valkenhayn. Ah well… I still gotta buy a PS3, anyway. Marvel is not too far away.

Thanks for the avatar. :3 I assume nothing is happening today other than most ( if not, all of us ) watching the playoffs.

Any news on kof98 final edition

@ Usagi: Income Tax time is coming around the corner, so maybe you can get a PS3 before Marvel comes out. I personally can’t wait to get my money so I can buy stuff for the house. If I wasn’t wasn’t toward the broke side, I’d like to have all of us watch the Packers game at a bar or something.

@abk: Not that I know of. Haven’t really been following it.

I actually had other plans on that income tax money. Was thinking about using that to go to a trip to Bangor, Maine since it is near the border of New Brunswick, Canada. Wife and I had planned on meeting up there so I can see my children and stuff before coming back and all that jazz. If the amount I get back is a sizable amount however, I may put some to the side for a PS3.

Poor side? I didn’t know bars were relatively expensive. Then again, that’s totally dependant on what you’d buy. Bah, I’ll figure out something to do.

And FINALLY good videos of Japanese Valkenhayn.

EDIT: Who was that guy that said he wasn’t doing much? Oh, I think that was John. No idea where he got that from. He just wasn’t in the hands of the right player. :3 Now he is. This also shows me that I need to become more aggressive with wolf form as well and need to work on my meter management. Hima’s is ridiculous.

Okay, well it looks like you’ve got better plans with your income tax money. Also, I HATE fan subs where there’s a big chunk of dialogue going on and they don’t even interpret it! That shit almost made me rage earlier today.

Hima was all over that Makoto player in his second match. I guess Valk can be played using a variety of play styles.

Consistent damage continues to prove that it is more effective than big damage. Big damage combos are just satisfying because people like to look at their numbers and make subtle comments. The reason I wanted to learn the other combos first was because of the meter gain involved with them. Watching these videos showed me that my mind was in the right place with that thought. He didn’t do those " OMG 6K+ " combos, but that didn’t matter. When he hit a combo, it was a chunk of meter and back into the mix-up. What intrigued me the most is that his 236B wall bounces ( corner bound? ) making even more combos. I am unsure if that occurs in CS1, since I don’t use that move, other than I believe people are trying to predict my block strings.

Taokaka… Valkenhayn has to work to catch her and that became evident in this video. She loses nothing by bouncing around like that where as I have to constantly manage meter. Unfortunately for her, it seems her crawl is becoming more punishable from what I was reading in the comments, which is a -huge- plus for anyone playing against her.

Valk can indeed be played with a number of playstyles. It’s just that this has to be the most effective one out there.

Hey guys can’t believe we got snow. I dont know if y’all will care about these but I thought these vids were cool and funny.

Heh, looks like SC is shutting down today. Time to load up some anime.

SNOW DAY!!! I don’t have to go to work today and we’re getting paid for it. I’m not complaining.

@ Zerog: I plan on seeing The Green Hornet this Friday, if anyone else wants to watch it with me.

@ Eskay: I’m glad I left those torrents running. Now I can finish watching some more shounen shows!!

AFAIK, I still have to head into work. The downside of retail? Could be. I am hopping I get the random phonecall sometime in the next fourty minutes telling me I can stay home so I can go back to bed. Ben and I stayed up til 3 AM playing the DotA clone that is League of Legends. :x More of you people should play with us.

@Usagi: I’ve known about League of Legends for a while now, and quite frankly the vids i’ve seen of that game scare the hell out of me. I love RTS games but i really REALLY suck at them. Which is why i mostly play FPS’s on my PC.

@Jaguar: Hmmm good choice :stuck_out_tongue: Snows still falling outside, which is fine as long as it doesnt take out the power. Which would make staying home from work kinda pointless

Well, I’ve been playing DotA for 5 years. Was one of the beta testers for HoN ( Heroes of Newearth ) so I was able to pick up LoL easily. Ben and I have lost our fair share of matches we’ve had due to terrible teammates, but we also been bodying mofos. I don’t care if you suck or not! It’s just nice to have something else to do every once in a while.
