Mad props to Keyon and Justin in BlazBlue. 9th and 33rd out of 85 is awesome. I can’t wait to hear about Keyon’s last match though. Sounds like it was ridiculously close. South Carolina represent in BlazBlue!
I dont know anything about how everybody did in SF4. Matt’s twitter made it seem like they got knocked out pretty early and played against some great players. It looks like Justin placed highest out of our crew in the game, but we don’t know where everybody placed. We know Dwaine and Matt did not make it out of pools.
I can’t wait to hear all the stories. Bumping elbows with all those amazing players, being in a hype tourney like that, being able to play Tekken 6 early… damn.

So, twitter is down right now, once it comes up I’ll update from when it went down. We just pulled up at the venue for top 8s. For the record, no one made it out of pools, but I won 1 and Justin won 2. There were 10 pools, each 1 a 32 man tourney. Oh, and that wasn’t me in the ELF mask lol, but that guy was awesome. We gonna go eat and play tekken, then come back when they open.

I’m usually on at different points of the day, mostly at night. I should be on later today, but after the football games are over.
Actually, I’m looking forward to T6 as well. Tekken was my FIRST Playstation game ever played, and didn’t know shit about it (still in the SF and MK era then).
I’m looking at maining Lars and maybe Leo.
Yo, over the last 2 days I have come across some awesome players. Very technical fighters. I added them for some sparring later but they gave me some really good fights. One was a Chun player, the other knew the frame advantage/ disadvantages for every character and abused the backdash invulnerability. It was like fighting a brick wall. I don’t really read frame data (as it turns SF into Super Chess Fighter Alpha), that was one of the things the Chun player told me. Also having execution problems, doesn’t help.
Well, I just got back from OH this morning at 5AM. Due to lack of sleep from hype, and from the car ride, needless to say I was a zombie when the alarm went off this morning for work. Long story short…I’m goin in late lol.
There’s not much to say here that I didn’t say in my Twitter this weekend, but I will reiterate that this was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. I can’t really find the words for how awesome it was having a room full of hundreds of fighting game fans, and literally everywhere you turn there’s either top players playing in the tourney, playing casuals, or even just random people set up for casuals. Not to mention its like 10 mins away from a hype arcade!! I highly suggest this venue and tourney in the future.
Once again, congrats to Keyon and Justin on their BB results. You dudes really turned some heads this weekend with your skills, including mine. Thanks to Dwaine, Keyon and Justin for chillin all weekend and getting hype for each other during the whole event. We must do this again soon!
Ok, time to head into work; I hope I did OK on the Twitter coverage, and that it was able to somewhat convey how awesome it was there. And btw, Dwaine and I got our TE’s dual modded, so we need to get some casuals goin soon to test em out!! Catch y’all around…

First, SB4 was the most fun I had at a tourney ever. That shit was fucking hype. I went 0-2 in SF4 but I won’t sweat it. You have good days and bad days. Tekken 6 BR is fucking amazing. Bob ftw. i will try to post a more detail write-up later.

I didn’t get a chance to mess with BlazBlue so it would have been a waste of your time. Tomorrow I’ll mess around with it and if you want we can play tomorrow evening perhaps.
PS: I can’t wait for Fall Brawl. I’m going to be playing most of the games there, just for fun. I’m in SF4, BlazBlue, Third Strike, HD Remix, Tekken 6, and hopefully they will vote in Vampire Savior or Rival Schools/Project Justice. Going to be an awesome time. It’s great to have a reason to bust out HD Remix and Third Strike. Especially Third Strike, as I completely missed that era of the scene.
