Word, I like TF2 as well…just not the gimped 360 or PS3 version. PC ftw. That game is updated like crazy, and consoles haven’t gotten even 1 update. I’ll be back in town tomorrow evening. Haven’t got to play SF at all during the holiday, so I’ll be lookin for some major practice this week. The appropriate parties will be contacted. See y’all soon!
I don’t wish my worst enemy to use that pad. just get another stick. I would say dual mod it but ps3 to xbox 360 is tricky and would recommond buying another stick. Oh yeah, still practice that black man.
I’ve thought about getting into TF2, but I want to take care of the rest of the “box” first. Stupid thought process, I know, but that’s just me.
As for SF4, I’m gonna end up getting a Mayflash and completely gutting it so I can play on it correctly. If it goes well I’ll do the same for some friends of mine.

EDIT: Guys I know it’s old, but I just heard/found out about a game called Battle Fantasia on PSN. It’s $20 and i’m thinking about getting it. It seems like a simple/cool game. It’s reliable as in some actually use the pcb in it, but trash the stick and buttons cause they’re pretty much garbage.
I’m gonna completely overhaul the one I get. New buttons, stick, probably throw a ChImp in there as well for some dual mod type fun.

That is a 3-d fighter made by atlus. It was there try at a sf-like game but it suck. Dont waste your money on that. Your better off giving that 20 dollars to me than rather buy that game.

I played through the Japanese demo of this about 2 or 3 months ago and I had to replay it four or 6 times I loved it so much! This game is SO MINE when it comes out!!

Battle Fantasia is a 2D fighter made by Arc Sys (the same people involved with Guilty Gear). It’s gameplay stems from GG but less complicated. The reason no one has really heard about it (outside of Japan) is b/c it wasnt advertised well but from what ive heard, its a good game. If there was a scene for it, i wouldve looked into it myself
Edit: I didnt exactly answer the question in the original post so…ill do as best as i can from the youtube vids ive seen of “higher level play”…assuming both parties know what they are doing, its a relatively fast paced game. It’s defense revolves around the “gatchi” system aka 3rd strike parrying system. The character roster is relatively small (i think there’s only 10 characters total) albeit they are extremely diverse like the guilty cast is. In terms of actually buying it…well finding comp in it is going to be difficult so if thats what your looking for, id say get MBAA (i think thats the newest melty blood game out now) since there’s actually a scene for that game…however…the game being released on PSN happened recently (Fall 2009) so there’s a chance that a scene may begin to develop (assuming it hasnt already)…i wasnt actually aware that this game finally got a ps3 release personally so now that i do (thanks for bringing it up), i may redirect my attention to it after im done with Viper training bs.

Byron thanks for the accurate response! :tup: Yeah it was definitely gaining my attention but two things played into my decision into not buying it. The first being poor netcode (from what i’ve read) and second no local comp. So that pretty much sealed the deal for me. Oh well I guess that just forces me to spend more time playing SF4 instead of buying another fighting game to learn.

Son: What I told you about wanting to play with byron. We don’t do that but once a year. U play keyon everyday, why u want to play against another viper. Just tell keyon to train seriously on that game and he can get to flash level in 2 weeks top. You might have to give him some sunflower seeds also, he needs something to make it worth his time.
