It is kinda a lot to take in. Practice, practice, practice. The one thing i think tekken has over almost all other fighters, is its ground game. Learning what way to roll, when to get up attack , or to just wait on the ground adds so much depth to it. Anyway, should I pre register for this tourney on the 7th or just show up?
Yay! I won my first ranked battles online today! You know, the online isn’t perfect but it’s certainly not the worst online I’ve ever seen. I’m starting to get the “rhythm” of the game now, I’m not spamming as much and actually using planned defense/attack. There’s just so much depth to this game.
ScNinjaboy, I’d just take a sec to pre-register. It not only helps the organizers but it also shows other people who are on the fence that they should come. The more people pre-registered the more legit it looks. Peeps who may not show up for a small tourney might show up if it’s obvious this is no small tourney.
You guys have fun this weekend and represent Columbia. I’ll be in OH from Thurs. to Sun. with family. It sucks, but it’s been planned for a long while now.
Tekken training is going well here as well, although I am in bad need of live practice. I’ll get a fair share of it at the arcade in OH, so that’ll be nice. Justin, just to let you know, Augusta is having Super Tourney 2 on 12 December. May want to not use that Saturday. Augusta is about the same distance as Myrtle and the last one was very, very good. May not want to compete against it. I’d say the Saturday before would be best.
Everyone, don’t forget about the SC Tourney Blog’s tourney calendar to help figure out tourney dates. That’s why I put it there, to help everybody. it’s helpful for organizers and players who travel to tourneys. It’s certainly better than fishing around SRK’s tourney thread.
Oh damn. Yeah, I assume most Columbia people are going to Augusta. I guess I’ll shoot for the 5th and hope for the best then. Going to talk to the Dueling Grounds today to see if that date is clear for them.
