Actually pretty much every player here except maybe for Shohaib has this problem so you’re not alone there. I’m not gonna preach because defense is the hardest thing about the game and my own pretty well sucks, but one thing I’ll say is Billy has been by far the most frustrating person in town to play against ever since like mid-#R and he basically crouch FDs like crazy and very rarely backdashes or jumps back to get out of pressure.
I don’t really know how to explain it but if I know how you’re trying to get out of whatever I’m doing I’m immediately going to have an answer unless I’m playing a character for whom I don’t have a good set of mixups yet, and most of the players here have defense that works less on their read on what the opponent’s going to do and more on an autopilot “I’m scared” level.
I dunno, a lot goes into GG and it’s easy to miss why shit is hitting you sometimes. If the only factor in mixups was “he went high when I thought he’d go low” or “he threw me when I expected an attack” then a huge portion of the cast wouldn’t even be able to land hits on a consistent basis. Like, if I play basically any random Ky out there he won’t hit me with 5D and I’ll counterthrow all of his ticks – but if you put me against someone like Scott, Veteru or Clayton, they have an understanding of how Bridget wants to move around the screen in the matchup and can figure out when and why I’m trying more to get out than to sit back and guess. In their hands all of a sudden Ky is this grappler with an unblockable overhead, or a lockdown god, or whatever the situation calls for.
That’s not directed at you BTW, but basically at everybody in Columbia who’s into Guilty Gear except for Billy.

Rex0r wanted cvs2, I knew someone would ask for it eventually. I figure if there’s more than 8 people for it, then I guess we could do it, if they set it up and stuff.
My copy of CvS2 is a piece of shit, the music doesn’t play in it except for in battles, and the game freezes when I get to the secret bosses or I try accessing the Options and Character Edit menus.
I just bought KOF 2000 & 2001 thinking they would be good…but it turns out their the worst fighting games I EVER played. Piece of crap SNK…
