I’m pretty sure the intro to that is from The Legend of Black Heaven
I forget the Japanese title, but anyway that show was awesome because it combined my two true loves:
the guitar and middle-aged Japanese businessmen
Paul, did you say you were off work Wednesday too? Tonight doesn’t work for me, it’s my aunt’s birthday.
andrew, are there any good local brew around where you live?
bring a case to mwc and i’ll trade 'em for used tissues
Used tissues? Ew.
wii bowling is kool, man i kinda want one of those things, but you have to actually move around and have living room space.
andrew - nice sig, did you learn that rygar song? play rygar? mess around with MT2? (metal zone #?) Are people chillin’ at your crib tomorrow?
Greetings columbia. I am heading down before MWC to catch a ride with aaron and the gang, and both he and andrew told me this would be the place to ask you guys for some help on a minor issue. The cherry microswitches on my stick are getting old as dirt, and I need a new set of 6 before MWC. Unfortunatly happ.com requires a 25 buck minimum order, and i’ll i need are the switches. If any of you guys have some extra ones i could buy off you, or if i could buy them directly from gunthers before MWC that would be awesome.
I can make arrangements to get them from andrew or what not when i head down there. If anyone can help me out let me know, if nothing else see you guys at MWC.
Thanks much.
Gears is OFF the hook, my tag is Rextacy, im gonna send a friend request if you wanna play sometime.
I’ll def add ya, I need to clear some space in my friends list and only add people that I actually am friends with.
I hate the online lag…I was playin some halo2 earlier for the first time in a while and man, whatever net code they have for that, they need to put in gears cause halo 2 has really good client hit detection. With all the complaints about that shit, I’m sure they’ll fix the net code next major update for gears…thats whats good about online games…patches.
No.
No.
No.
Think so, but I don’t know when.
Rex- I’ll send you a FR as well. Always looking for more people to play Gears with.
Man, I dunno when or who you’re playing with, but Gears lag is way less than halo2 for the most part for me. I mean, yeah, I’ve had shitty hosts while playing Gears but never on the level in sheer number that I did when playing H2, and I played both when they peaked.
That’s because the game is a joke :bgrin:
hell yea it is
you’ll be crying after i loop you with aoko though
I’ll be crying if I actually ever have to play that game again, so I doubt there’ll be any looping going on :wgrin:
The host will always have a good connection in gears, but the clients will always have lag, even if the host is on a beastly connection. This makes the scores like 25 for host and 10, 8, 6, and so on for every client.
Halo2 uses client Hit detection. Which means that if you are playerA, you will see a “ghost” of player B. That ghost isn’t exactly where player B is, but it’s where he was, so the ghost is what compensates for lag. If you shoot that “ghost” of player B, you will actually shoot him. There is no leading (meaning, shooting in front of people to make up for lag) in Halo2. This vid demonstrates it really well. It also shows the way Halo 2’s Client hit detection works.

Ah, ok, I see what you’re saying but it’s not always half as bad as the video makes it out to be. However, it is true that clients will always have at least a little bit of lag. Such upgrades would be nice, but I don’t see it happening at this point, sadly. And it’s very rare I see scores that lopsided.
Sweet crispy crap I need practice some guilty gear.
I never got around to working on my Sol combos.
mashes out more RCs
How exactly are you guys coming down here to ride with me? The ride up will consist of me, Travis, Andrew, and Paul, right? The back is the same but +1 Steve.
