It wouldn’t really shock me. The thing is there are a lot of ranking tables out there for VS and they kinda jump around, like, a lot. I’ve had people swear up and down that Lilith is like upper mid, and it wouldn’t surprise me, but I’ve only ever seen her ranked like… a step above Jedah at maximum.
I think the most recent Arcadia ranking had half the cast in the upper two tiers. I remember these characters for sure were really high:
Lei-Lei, Zabel, Sasquatch, Q-Bee, Gallon, Bishamon
But other than that… I dunno. Who cares, the game seems pretty closely balanced anyway at low-level play, which is what like everybody in the US but sabre, gbursine, Jeron and random heads who play with them are on.

ok so I guess the date for the tournament is now April 7th. I’ll call stoney creek and ask them if april 7th is a good date. Also, there’s a hotel across the street on providence from stoney creek. I think its a hotel, and it looks kinda cheap, so that might be a good place for people to stay at.
If i find out that stoney creek doesn’t have anything planned for april 7th, then I’ll ask shattastar to change my av to april 7th, then I’ll ask mods to change the thread name to april 7th.

Sure, will you take Josh’s advice into consideration though and give Ky a try? Not only is he one of the easiest characters to play but I actually have a lot of experience using him. Either that or play around with all of the characters for a few days and go with who you like best. Slash is pretty balanced so far, Robo-Ky is the only character who basically can’t win a tournament (he can, but 2/3 double elim works way the hell against him in the US).
I can tell you basic combos for most characters, but who do you want to play?
I really don’t know yet, I’m really leaning towards Order Sol because I like how he plays, and that 0 frame super. Might go by Gunthers sometime agian and play some more, try more characters.
Well, Testament seems fun too, that’s who I originally played as when I first started playing GGXX. I’m also strangleley attracted to low tier ( Robo-Ky, his style of play seems interesting too ).
