How difficult is it to build a custom arcade stick? I’m getting really fucking tired of my X-Arcade and its shitty-ass stick. I’ve been perusing the custom stick thread, but I’d like to know how feasible it would be for a first-timer to get one made?
well I consider myself to be fairly well-versed in the 3S arts(it is my fav game of-all-time:D ), I know TX has a handful of good players(u prolly already knew that, and TX isn’t technically the MW) Chicago/Detroit have a buncha good players, and of course Omaha NE. That’s all I can think of.:bluu:
squelched - building ur own stick isn’t as hard as it seems. I just surfed around gathering as much info as I could. I made both of mine years b4 SRK had a tech. thread. I’m just saying there’s a lot of info out there u just gotta find it. Jon(Bughouse) from Col. gutted his 2 player X-Arcade and built a new enclosure. it’s pretty sweet.

Okay, I’m planning on the next “Monthly” being on July 17th, this is 2 weeks before Evolution, I hope there will be more people attending than we had today because it was pretty dead:( I’m also starting to feel burnt-out from the same old double elim. tourney we need a new format or u guys need to seriously learn 3S or ST. I was thinking about a Jpn. style single elim. one-match-all-the-way-through type thingy. the entry of course will be less. Or we can just scrap the tourney all together and just have a casual/Evo training day? post up, let me know your thoughts/ideas.
frog - most improved? i suck. plain and simple. i need to get better. oh well. you’re axl is really good, but now i know what to expect from YOUR axl.
lol, so how did i fare on my very first ggxx tourney? i wish all the matches were like how i played casual. ALL WINS:D . i need to pull a steve and not exist for 1 month and get hella better. it was great seein/playin you guys. hopefully i will show a much better showing (actual goal - beat frog/get top 3).
Josh - As usual, it was a great time. Too bad it wasn’t a big turnout, but I think we all kinda expected that with MWC being so close, so whaddya gonna do, y’know? Your Axl has definately shown a lot of improvement, and if you wanna make Eddie your business or one of your business characters, then keep on it. I think your Axl is better than any of your other characters, but Eddie showed potential, he’s just one of those characters that takes a while to be able to play well. I’ll distribute the 3s goodness and get your discs back to you next month man, sorry for any hassle. Talk to you on AIM.
Glenn - You’re a far better player than me at about everything, and I think you’re far too modest and understate your ability a lot. No one thinks you suck, lest of all me or anyone else in the STL scene. I’m really glad to have you as comp, so don’t be so hard on yourself if you weren’t feelin’ it for whatever reason. You’ll get hella better after going to MWC.
Steve - Man, it was awesome talking and playing over the past couple of days. Your Zappa is off the fuckin’ chain, you had great mixups and answers for a lot of situations. We should all play more often, it’s just shitty because of how far apart we are from each other. Regardless, we gotta get practice in before MWC, so just gimme a call at 636-448-7380 whenever you’re down and hopefully we can set something up.
Andrew - It was nice seeing a buddy, as always. Too bad Derek couldn’t have come down, but there’s always next time or during MWC. Your Bridget has gotten a lot better since the last time I’ve played it, you’re more offensive and tend to exploit the openings you create more often. Dai-ou-jou is cheap. Hit me up on AIM and we’ll talk.
Jon - Wow, good Baiken! After so many swap-outs with your characters, it’s really great to see you stick with the character that I thought was your best initially when I saw it - now only way better!

Steve- Good Shit! I read the brackets for the tourny, and I see your at the top (2nd place), which I myself expected. That Zappa of yours sure gives me hell, so I know itz given everybody else a challenge too. Hopefuly next time I’ll have some money, so I can attend too. BTW Did Axl and Bridget give you any trouble this time round at the tourny… jus curious.
Frog- Man, I gotta watch your Axl in action, rush down is starting to OWN minez for cheap, so I can’t control the matches as much as I want too!!!:bluu: I know Axl’s charge move canceld into the FRC is an important factor, but I figure I’ll master his FRC in #R, cause 2 frames is much better then 1 frame! But nice to see your Axl is up in the top three, confirms that Axl’s O.G. status!LoL
Sorry I couldn’t show this time at the tourny, pockets on E, as in moneyless! But next time hopefully. I predict that 3S will become more popular when it comes out on the PS2, anyway for me it will.
