I was expecting to take a long-ass break from fighting games after N-Cubed, but it turned out to be a great time.
Like I said I would have driven up to Nebraska just to watch the Reload tournament alone. Andrew and Nick had some inspiring performances. Nick with his crazy blocking skills and Andrew with his nail biting matches.

The sticks in the Arcade
The arcade getting hot and nasty with body heat
Overall it was fun but I wouldn’t wanna go next year.
Woulda been nice if we had a hotel there, that way we all wouldn’t have felt so nasty and tired.
Evo was more fun cause of the nice clean setting and the fact that EVERYONE goes to Evo. The hotel was a really nice place to chill… but I guess that’s part of the huge price tag that comes with Evo.
I think I’ll go next year. I might invest in a hotel room though, it’s real generous of David to let us stay there but the temptation to stay up all night is too strong for me to resist 
You guys should come along to Midwest Challenge in January, I think Chris and I were planning on it. Nickel City is walking distance from the Red Roof Inn, it’s really convenient and all of the Midwest usually shows. Generally it won’t get the EC/WC turnout that Midwest Championship does, but it’s still a good tournament.
I started playing Ken today, I think it’s time to sell out.
I’m kinda thinking we should plan a big tournament here, but the last time I tried to get something together it fell through because I tried to do everything myself. Is anybody willing to help plan?
It’s funny that you and Aaron are now wanting to pick top tier. Shekeib wants to switch to Q exclusively. I will probably stick with Hugo although I’m pretty sure my Chun is better, you know I always second guess myself. Maybe I should have picked Chun and I probably would have gotten deeper at N cubed but oh well. I’d like to learn how to play with Yun and maybe Urien for fun.
Oh BTW Josh I’m sure you would have placed atleast top 3 with your Urien or even Yang at N cubed.
In my case it’s sort of a temporary thing. The stuff I saw the Ken players doing in Nebraska was a lot like the sort of things I’d like to do with Ibuki, but it just plain looked easier to learn (less character-specific, easier to start from multiple distances/situations, etc). IMO it’s more important for me to learn about the game itself than to learn a bunch of strategies specific to one character, and Ken looks like the easiest to win with to me (if I played Chun or Yun I feel like, again, I’d be less learning general SF strats and more learning how to get the other guy to lose to the character’s big overpowering gimmick – which is not to imply anything about Chun/Yun players, I just think the characters are barriers for the way I learn).
I’m still more interested in Ibuki and Makoto.
I’d really like to go to Midwest challenge, if we get a hotel. If everyone’s gonna be there we could invite some people to the hotel room and get a bunch of casuals in. If I go I would be looking forward to the competition and casuals instead of the actual tournament just cause I’m more focused on getting better right now.
But I really don’t know my schedule for January yet so I don’t know, but if Shohaib wants to go and I’m free…(which I probably will be, I mean what the else would I have to do at home, instead of play games?..Oh yeah, school

Just letting everyone know about Jon’s farewell party coming up, Iplan on having it on Dec. 15th but that’s a thursday, but that might not matter if MU and public schools are already out for winter break. So I’ll try to keep everyone posted, and please leave me some feedback on the issue.

Well… I think me and Shohaib will be in town for a while over break but prolly not the whole time because we’ll most likely go to our house in Sedalia to be with family. But I like chillin in columbia more than in Sedalia so I’d rather stay here for a while but I don’t know if we will be able to. If we do stay here for a while over break we will probably have people over and play games again, if Shohaib’s cool with it. It’ll be like what we did before…Chinese food and all.
