actually I am working on getting some tv’s there to play other tournys too. A3 could be one of them. I definitely was going to get a ST tourny going if possible. Oh and VS too!

if were talking consoles I have 360 with VF 5, I think a VF tourny would help spread wareness.
Trust me, there’s definitely a big VF5 scene in Colorado.

There’s some discussion regarding having a console tourney (in addition to the Tilt tourney), and the main question on people’s mind is “Who’s house”. Joe aka The Big Rex@SRK (who still hasn’t found his happy way to this thread), is recommending my place.
I’m down with having it at my place, but just an FYI, it’s a one bedroom apartment. If anyone has some plasma TVs they can haul in, it would help as well (to run more than one game). I also have a fast computer with a grip of arcade games mainly played through Mame (at this time, I don’t have sticks set up for the computer though, and my converter is not reliable.)
Anywho, if anyone here, or at CoFusion has a good size basement set up for this ordeal, now’s your chance to decide where the tourney will be held. I just don’t want to hear complaints when/if we have it my lil APT like “Bob’s place is WAY bigger, we shoulda had it there”.
So anywho, I see ourselves having the console war tournies, at my place (which is perfectly fine with me), and hopefully eventually moving into a venue like for instance that place over by Hobby Lobby, off of Sable and 6th (there’s a good place to hold ‘meetings’ and what not. I have no idea how much it would cost, but it’d be cool to have so that we can rival cutthroat and stuff).
Anywho, this is good stuff. Mad props for taking our A-Town scene to the next level Half-Ro.
Ps. The Sanwa sticks don’t have to be top-mounted. It’s a less preferred but cheaper alternative to top-mounting the seimitsu like I do on my own stuff. I was just kidding though, I can still use the Happ stuff (as long as it’s not too worn out.)
Just slap a couple Happ Comp sticks in there. I think the buttons on CvS2 are fine, it’s just the sticks that have problems. I recommend buying from http://forums.shoryuken.com/member.php?u=47047 but you probably already have your own way of getting that stuff.
Well for this tournament, I was planning on it being a Hybrid tournament ( the hybrid being console and arcade cab) if and ONLY if we are allowed to set up everything at the arcade. Tv’s, consoles, ect in the back of the arcade. Alot of you new guys dont know this but, we (alot of the original atown members) have had tournaments like this in the past. It also helps that some of the original staff when we were playing way back when still works there 
. So what what my plan is to have the tournament at the arcade and casual play at your house on this occasion. We can always set up a tournament in the future at your place if you like 
On the venue on 6th and sable, you should show me that sometime. Mabey we could get something set up there!

I dont really care where this takes place as long as it happens, I dont have a plasma but I can allways take my normal tv its not real big so it can atleast fit anywhere you see fit.

ON the HD TV thing, It is preferred that we DONT play on them as they lag with all games that dont have a similar native resolution(commonly 720/1080 i/p). Most ps2 games (Most of the fighting games we play are on ps2) are 480i and a few p. So, tvs with 480 i/p native resolution is best.

Plasma is still fine as long as you don’t whip out the HD-cables. Just use the standard-plugins and it will be like a normal TV. I just recommend the LCD since it won’t take up much space.
I have little 23-inch Plasma tv which I use for most games, (no HD hook-ups.). There’s a whole Tech Talk sticky on that. Basically you won’t have to worry about lag on an LCD unless you’re goin for the HD-cables etc.
Anywho, if we can hook up consoles at Tilt somehow, that’s a huge expense that we don’t have to worry about.
In my experience, ALL HD tvs i have played 2d games on, have lagged. So i would have to try out your tv before i would play on it. Im gonna see who can all bring a tv to play on to the tilt.
