my gambit is pretty much done, just needs some tweaking and strider and gief need portraits done. will try and tackle doing a symbiote suit spidey soon when these are done.

well doing the sprites alone are extremely easy and dont take a lot of time, only the portraits are hard and time consuming which is why i havent finished barely any.

I’ve been wanting to hack ST for some time now. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve actually done quite a bit of RAM hacking, but that can only do so much, and is rather forced and temporary (like using a game genie code). Damn funny stuff… juggling that rivals Alpha 3, Ryu destroying fireballs with his overhead, Sagat electrifying people with his close standing fierce… I wanna record some videos of it for the laughs, but my computer’s too slow.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where the data that would need to be edited to create actual gameplay changes is stored… the only part of the code ROMs I’ve identified is the part that defines all of the game’s sound samples in terms of where they start, end, and loop within the raw audio data ROM.

No. All I could theoretically do at this point is change/swap sound effects and instrument samples (theoretically, because I don’t know what kind of checks are performed on the ROM… if I were to try and change stuff, it might just fail to run). So I could theoretically have ST play back the same songs but with different instruments… but I don’t know how to change the songs themselves.

Damn… I’m really late… I didn’t know T-Kimura had made a thread about CPS-2 Hacks. Whoops… Hopefully if they get CPS-3 emulated then we could start some CPS-3 Hacks… LoL :yawn:

Is there a way to make custom color requests? I’d like to make a few requests =P

Do these work with the U.S versions of the said roms?

They work with every version of every game, but the only problem we’ve had is that most people do Marvel Vs Capcom 1 colors on a file called mvsc.06a, this is the file that MAME uses. Unlike MAME, FBA which is the emulator used for ggpo loads the colors from a file called mvsc.06, which most people don’t do colors for. But I’m working on some.

Aside from that we’ve had no problems as of late.
