No Cody changes/fixes apparently…
I don’t think this fix is THE fix. Though I wouldn’t hold anything out for Cody.
There’s also nothing pertaining to Elena hurtbox which is obviously the biggest issue. Just addressing some of the incorrect frames. (and it doesn’t even look like all of them.)
“Doesn’t even look like all of them.”
Understatement of the fucking year. Have you actually read my thread?
Even if we just go by the incorrect frame data stuff they barely scratched the surface. Here is a SMALL taste of the frame data stuff left unchanged.
Blanka - Canceling Surprise Forward (F+PPP) into a reversal OK move will come out 2F slower after the move has already recovered if the new move was input during the surprise forward. The cancel occurs on 24F but the backdash recovers on 22F
Cammy - ALL LP normals cancel window for chaining is longer than the recovery for the attack itself. (Hitting LP several frames after the attack has already recovered can still result in a chain combo. This makes it hard to link lights together or plink to MP or MK attacks)
Chun Li - When canceling into HK SBK from a close HP the move has different recovery than when performed at any other time. This results in the move having different frame advantage.
Cody - Badspray from face up knockdown is 20F longer recovery than from face down knockdown resulting it being far more punishable.
Decapre - If connected as a counterhit on the first active frame DF+MK only gains +2F additional frame advantage on counterhit instead of the standard +3F for mids. (may be intentional)
Deejay - Far HP does not properly launch on counterhit if it connects on the 1st active frame of far HP.
Dhalsim - Stretch MK gains no additional frame advantage on counterhit
Dudley - F+HK does not gain additional frame advantage on counterhit.
Elena - B+HK does not gain any additional frame advantage on counterhit.
And that is just 1 thing each and I stopped looking after Elena.
Well, atleast they are working to fix those bugs. But I would prefer one update that fix everything than a million os updates.
You guys really aren’t great with reading jokes lol.
that one wasn’t directed at you predator lol.
I’d rather they just fix everything altogether. I don’t really understand the small frame fixes when there’s bigger issues at hand than the small things they fixed.
I think they don’t know how to fix the bigger issues lol
Well. Did you guys saw that?
What changes for Cody lies in this patch? Ex Zonk throwable? lol
I don’t know if it’s always been there but I’ve gotten U2 pipe hits to connect (into full animation) when used as AA. If youtube ever gets done processing my videos I can show it.
To clarify; I get ONE hit of the dust and then they juggle into pipe hits.
Always been that way.
Ah ok, I’ve just never seen it happen. I got it to land twice last night so I thought it was something new (I wish it worked no matter how many dust hits you get)
Interesting.
What are your thoughts now that you’re finally actually playing the game Eternal? xD
Haven’t played enough matches TBH. Overall it’s not really grabbed my interest too much outside of experimenting with mod tools and a couple of other characters besides Cody. For one of the first times I feel I’m kind of reaching the bottom of the Cody exploration barrel. That was one of the things I loved most about him was he just had all these interesting normals and moves with unique properties and a community that I felt had barely explored him when I first picked him up. I didn’t know if he was good or not but it was just fun to sit in training mode and go “I wonder if I can do THIS”
I’m kind of doing that stuff with Juri now, though she is a bit more explored she has a lot of interesting normals and moves with odd properties. Hugo is seriously lacking in some areas but man he is fun in training mode and in matches.
Cody’s back dash changes compared in depth are very very disappointing.
WHAT A BUFF

Ultra 2 compared.
Don’t open this unless you want to be sad
just to let you know Eternal, that second cody vid above is the backdash difference again . not the U2 difference.
But here you go.
EX Criminal Upper
Ultra 1
Just got done watching Chin vs. KBrad FT7 at NLBC. Chin took it to him, but he lost barely 7-6. Still was great to watch.
