Cody on wake up

Bad Spray I’ve only considered using on characters like Rufus, due to their habit of jumping in with moves like dive kick when they get a knockdown; this will however this will probably become common knowledge very quickly and these players will change their strategies to deal with it. I would probably go with the forward dash under people who cross-up like DeeJay or ex CU.

JD, why stop there? Just make his s.LP full screen jab-speed projectile which goes through every attack, auto-corrects and cancels the falling over animation?

bad spray is getting figured out already, at least by those i’ve faced. was fun the first week though.

Make Criminal Upper like Magnetos Magnetic Shockwave.

I like the previous response…“hit a button, seriously”. If Cody is lacking anything, it’s not AA. For all the st. mp, and b+mp, sliding out the way, etc (all great suggestions)…don’t forget his focus attack is pretty damn good…

I’ve been trying to land the “Bad Spray” for a while now. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I get knocked down and I press up and light punch. He’s not doing it. What am I doing wrong?

I find that the best thing to do on wake up is to block the initial jump in attack and then backdash (or release ex bingo) before they land and start attacking you. If they have already landed and started a jab block string you can still block the jabs and backdash when you get an opening or release an ex bingo.

You have to block the initial jump in though, no other option on meaty jump ins really. Once they hit the ground is when you can do something something about it.

If they dont jump at all then go ahead and backdash (best to have ex bingo charged just in case)
