Co-op in Street Fighter x Tekken not available on 360?

Say what? I’m just about to get my hands on this game but hearing this is really disappointing. I heard MK9 could do co-op or something. I don’t get it at all. You can use two ‘live’ accounts on the same xbox the other person just has to be using of those memory cards to ‘transport’ the account. Also even if it’s one live account and the other a local (non-gold live) one - all other multiplayer games simply use a ‘guest xbox live account’ with their partnering live account player. E.g, online co-op in Halo is: Vitrolic Edge (me) and if I bring a friend along they become Vitrolic Edge (1).

Can someone shed some light on this topic for me? Also I would like to know if you can do a co-op mode with the computer i.e, arcade mode/story mode. Can you still play co-op while offline on the same team? Or is it strictly 2 v 2 online, and not 2 v AI in arcade mode.

On Xbox:

2 people on the same console CANNOT play co-op against other people ONLINE.

2 people on the same console CAN play co-op OFFLINE (versus or arcade).

2 people on different consoles CAN play co-op ONLINE against other people online.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up. Also could I ask how’s the online play? Regular matches going on? I was disappointed when trying to find any KoFXIII games, plus being in Australia doesn’t help, when I get to play I miss the ‘prime-time’ night session in the U.S.

I don’t own the Xbox version, so I can’t comment on that, but I’d recommend using “Arcade request mode” to find matches for you while you play through Arcade mode…rather than searching manually…

Capcom says that the xbox version could not do it because of the infrastructure. They are full of shit because gears, halo, cod, and mk all do it. I think doa might as well.

The issue is they focused all of their energy into coding the game for PS3 because of the money sony put into it. THEIR code doesn’t work with the 360’s infrastructure – of course it works the way other people have done it, because they weren’t sipping on Sony-purchased margaritas. It’s really stupid of them not to fix it, but what can you do?

just give the pad to your buddy while switching and problem solved

This is such an oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooold topic. I’m pretty sure there was a thread were a good 6 pages were spent talking about this.
