It’s prob a good call – you’ll be worse for awhile on stick when you’re a pad player, but it’s generally a good idea to switch. 3s/Tekken/old school seem the best candidates to be played on pad, but I’d imagine it would be harder w/ SFIV.
3s? Like an hour. It’s not really a game you can play all day or anything. Not like Maaaaaarvel! I can play SF:HD for a long time though because I discover all kinds of weird properties every match, since I never played ST, just up to HF. Sagat lk’s own DJ … sometimes. And Harmon, I know it’s dumb to moan about DeeJay when I play Sagat, haha, but those properities just makes me laugh too hard it’s a reeeally crazy engine I’m finding out more and more
Yeah like I said you just pick up all these little intricacies the more you play ST. The best way to learn the game is to play a bunch of different chars. Playing Sagat might be slowing you down from learning the game as a whole (if that’s what you’re interested in) since for the most part you can just do old school fireball trap all day long. If you picked up a lower tier char that’s when you’re going to need to learn all the little tricks and knowledge of what beats what.
I dunno about the Hooters tourney, haha. I dunno, I’ll see if Dayton or C-bus are going. We can still daytrip it if we can get enough people agreeing to go. Let’s not even gonna talk about the other one.
Otherwise I won’t be going anywhere outside of IN/OH till SB, which we still totally haven’t planned at all and I think I’m gonna have to take more of a central role of it this year possibly
Harmon, do you wanna play Kajoc in SF:HD for $$$? I’ll back you – just trying to get KY to come up to the Hooters tourney and have an interesting mini event.
Yeah I dunno about the Hooters tourney either. The venue pics look pretty crappy. Plus it’s Memorial Day weekend so I might have plans. I wouldn’t mind doing the MM if I actually go.
And let me know if you need any help with SB. I’d be glad to lend a hand.
When a couple a guys, who were up to no gooood, startin makin trouble in the neighbah-hood
Thanks Harmon, about SB. Yeah, if it seems obvious there’s little space for what we need to do at Hooters (run 3 games + casuals at once) I don’t think it sounds worth a trip. I’d like to meet the guy and help out, but moving a venue like that usually results in not a good one.
edit: I’m finally going to C-bus this weekend so fugee and I can finally hammer out some SB details aaaaand getting my sticks fixed.
Yo Chris don’t forget my offer to help you guys with some web-based tourney organization. I saw how crazy that shit got last year… I’d be honored to help out.
Yeah, we will def prepay and cap same-day entries per game to a crazy low number. That will help IMMENSELY with brackets/schedule. All the SFIV scrubs coming on the day will be in trouble.
yeah Max, can you come out sometime (next Monday even) and we can talk about that more?
Who is the turd from C-Bus throwing a tourney on June 27th (i think), but only wants everybody to play the games he likes? Damn you can tell he had no friends growing up. Oh and i like how you told that gimp off Chris lol.
