I will not be going this year Luke. Actually, this is the 1st Year I won’t be going 2 Season’s Beatings, but there’s a lot of reasons why:

No T6:BR. It doesn’t hit console till the 27th of this month, but that’s understandable it’s not there…since it isn’t out yet. U know me, Tekken is my main game I play & that’s what I would really want 2 play. I think Axiom is running a side T5:DR Tourney, but I’m not going up there 4 something I don’t really play anymore, not since GW got BR in.

They took Soul Calibur 4 out of the Tourney line-up. This is what made me upset the most, & is probably the main reason I’m not going. They had the game in the line-up, then it was just taken away for pretty much no good reason really. I think the reasoning behind that is b/c the game is dying down & they need all the TVs & PS3s for other games. I can understand that, but it’s still shitting on the Soul Calibur community. Last year, SC4 had about 60-70 entrants for that tournament. That’s nothing to sneeze at. Besides BR, SC4 IS the other game I pretty much play seriously, & now it’s not there anymore b/c that’s what the tournament orgaizers wanted 2 do. That’s jacked up!

It’d be nice 2 go up there & play BB & HDR, but I pretty much play those games 4 fun. It’s not like I don’t play Tekken & Soul Calibur for fun, but I study, practice, & play my 3D games a lot more then I do my 2D games, so y go 2 a tournament & both play & pay 4 something I don’t take as serious?

If I was going 2 go, I would have only went on a Saturday or something like that, but regardless if u go one day or all three days, u have 2 spend the same amount of money to get in the venue anyway. I don’t think that’s worth my time nor money.

U could only Pre-Reg if u did that PayPal bullshit. U know what that is…bullshit! It seems like there was really no other way 2 Pre-Reg but do that, & if u didn’t do that, u get punished by paying more at the door the days of the Tournament when u go there…that’s if it doesn’t hit capacity. I don’t trust my credit card info being over the net. I know u could do what Josh Queen said 2 do & get a Pre-Paid credit card, but y go through extra hassle 4 something that shouldn’t be a hassle. There could have been other ways u could have paid 2 get Pre-Reg’ed, just my Two Cents on the matter.

The last thing that made me decide not 2 go was remembering all the bullshit that happened last year @ the last Tournament:

However, if u were some kind of big name (Justin Wong), u didn’t have 2 wait outside in the cold @ all & were let right in. Fuck that favoritism bullshit.
>Guilty Gear got completely fucked over. I’m not a GG player, but if I was, I’d be uber-pissed. Marn completely fucked up the brackets, & they had 2 cancel the GG Tourney b/c of that. I can only imagine the frustration & hassle w/ that.
>All the tournaments started super late b/c shit wasn’t organized. This was very true for Tekken last year.
>Sazabi & Nash did a shitty job on running the Tekken Tourney. When u have 2 have other ppl step up & take over the tournament b/c u suck @ running a tourney (I think NJN & NeoRussel stepped up 2 help out the best they could), then that’s not a well-ran tourney. I even volunteered 2 help Sazabi & Nash out in running Tekken like I did the year b4, but they didn’t want it. I guess they should have taken it.
