I wanted to give a big thank you to all the people that helped me learn last night. I was banging my head against the wall for so long, and now I feel like I have a new outlook on the game, and I was actually making progress and learning new things. The community around SF is what makes it so cool. I’ll try to practice everything I learned, and hopefully be able to give you all a challenge one day.
Great to see so many people come out to the first ever Arcade Legacy fight night. Definitely the biggest fight night yet. I thing the ranbats are going to bring in a good crowd this season as it seems we have a good amount of new players coming out regularly. I’ll be posting up the details on the July 9th tournament and the ranbats fairly soon (and in that order). There’s people coming from Florida, Illinois, Michigan and maybe Iowa for the July 9th tourney! We will be running (at least) SSFIV, ST, GGAC, T6, Naruto 3 and 4 and a Mystery game tourney. I’m told the FL players play Naruto and will in turn bring people from these other states to play Naruto and the other games so it should be stellar!
Ma , ameer , walker , and derrick. Were glad to help. Just talk to more people and play them. Everyone is down to give you advice and stuff.
Word up everyone!?
Fight night @ the new AL was the shiznite! Thanks once again Jesse 4 having us over @ the new place. The new venue is sweet & I think ppl will definately dig it 4 sure.
Also, good games 2 every1 I played last night: Jordyn in ST; Kam in SC4; Kam, Brandon, & Quentin in T6.
That’s all 4 now. I don’t think I’ll have anything planned later on 2nite, so if ppl are down 4 playing some games somewhere, let me know. If I find out anything myself, I’ll give some peeps a call or text from the cell.
Take it easy & have a good one. Peace. :china:
Five tips to put your Akuma into the future:
- Use your lights in blockstring mixups to set up forward throws. Safe pressure follows with the double dash flip kick(Exploding heart technique as it is called on the SRK forums)
- To continue your blockstrings cancel your medium attacks into flip kicks. Light flip to continue direct pressure, or medium to land behind with a safe palm and mix up from there.
- Your EX moves are VERY powerful. Pay special attention to situations where they work well and remember them. Build meter as fast as you possibly can. That means some times ending your combos with heavy DPs instead of EX dps or sweeps or FADC cancels if the situation calls for it.
- Your overall goal as Akuma is to hit a light Tatsu. When doing combos just try and find ways to hit light tatsu and fights (offensive pressure especially) becomes a lot less overwhelming.
- You have a teleport. Dont be afraid to sometimes teleport twice back to back if they are chasing your first one. Only fight the opponent when -You- want to.
…and remember. Ryu is a bitch, and Juri is not as good as every seems to think she is. Oh, and Thawk sucks. Keep these things in mind and you are on your way to crushing all. You are the fucking raging demon and you have the tools to win literally -any- situation.
SinisterCzar (5:03): got any tips for me?
ShinWalker (5:03): kill yourself

I see the new arcade has lots of potential. GG’s in TVC, ST, MKT. Nice amount of room to set it up any number of ways. I’d like to see some more racing games up there. However…
I’m wondering if that location is visible enough for random traffic? I’m sure you had some random traffic from people that had other business in the old plaza. I don’t know how people that don’t happen to know about the arcade are going to randomly stop by, where it’s at. Post advertisement at the Showcase, if they allowed?
Edit: Advertise at Hooters also…
I could post up signs on the bulletin boards at school. I believe I have to get the green light for that through the school first and get the signs stamped.
No mike not good games.
THIS… Is the truth.

…Does anyone around here own a copy of naruto 3/4 and a system for it still?! I would be interested in joining the naruto 3/4 madness just for oldtimes sake, but I haven’t played in YEARS.
Yeah i play competitive pokemanz, but I can’t find anyone else around here that does =(. I have a few teams ready to kill, but no victims lol.
Luke and I play the pokeymans still. I want to go to the tournament in Indy this month but I don’t have HG/SS so I cant compete
And I think Adam Coble still has Naruto games but im pretty sure he doesnt have his GC anymore.

Hey, guys. This Friday Pisanello’s Pizza in Franklin is having some sort of game night. It’s like a couple bucks to get in, and I think the fountain drinks will be free. Also, bring TVs, because I don’t know if there are any in there for us to use. I think Brian (the owner) was intending to do board games/cards, but he doesn’t have a problem with people bringing video games. I’m just saying that he probably won’t be set up for video games, so that will be on us. It runs until question marks. If anybody’s interested, I’ll get more details.
Also, Franklin is a pretty central location between Cincy and Dayton.
Sounds good Matt, but sadly I’ll be gone for the weekend.
lol
@ Matt I would be down for going but all depends if anyone is going out there that I could roll with.
I just want to add to this that Pisanello’s is one of the best local pizzerias around in my opinion. Really, really good pizza. I’ll be there.
