Yeah, I like SF2 a ton but don’t really care enough to learn all the character-specific nuances of ST/HDR because I like HF way better. I kind of just play HDR by ear. It’s not that I never play it, it’s that I don’t learn the game seriously like I would if I were a tournamenet player like I did with 3s and Marvel – I get to play Harmon a good amount in person, so that’s awesome because he knows a lot of ST/HDR-specific stuff and I can’t get away with half-screen zoning all day

Thursday is regular game night. Saturday is the first qualifier for PowerUp + side tournies. The Mario Kart tournament was really hype today so I’m going to add a Mario Kart tournament during one of the qualifiers. I’ll figure it out and post it up along with everything that’s going on in it’s own thread in a day or two.

Actually, 64 is the best Mario Kart. We were playing Wii version. No power sliding = sad faces, but it was still fun. Little salty from getting run over all the time in that second race with Eric. Who races go karts on an active freeway with semi trucks and stuff without like closing it down first? Also, who in the world drives a GIANT BOB-OMB CAR? Seems dangerous to me.

Sunday gaming is still going on today at my place if anyone would like to travel through today’s impending weather. Sorry if this is a last minute post for most of you, I’m not sure who may caught the last one. lol. Nonetheless, I’ll just state again that I have 3 TVs already setup. There is a decent amount of floor space for everyone to game. I also encourage the use of training mode for newer players at my place…it looks like its starting to work a little for players like Jason and Crayton. Everyone is welcome, just post or call me (PM me if you don’t have my number) if you are coming so I know when to expect you. You guys can come at whatever time of the day you want, but I am kicking people out before 1am, since I have class at 9:45am and I have to catch the bus :(.
Also, I still don’t have any food, but Dominos Pizza is pretty beast around here online (The Pizza Tracker). Also, there is fast food…I always recommend Rally’s :). Unless everyone wants to chip in a few bucks for me to cook something, I’m down for that too. I would need a lift to the store anyway to pick up more paper plates and cups anyway. (and some sugar for Kool-Aid fiends looks at Derrick Legend)
Meijer on Springboro Pike is “sold out”. They apparently had 4-5 copies. Meijer in Kettering refuses to sell it. Kmart has none in stock, unsure if they did at one point.
No power sliding in the Wii version? Do you mean the mechanic where the sparks start to fly from your wheels as you turn, and then get a boost in speed? If that’s what you mean, then that’s definitely in the Wii version, you just need to use manual instead of automatic controls. If that’s not what you mean, then oh . . .
I prefer Mario Kart Wii after all this time of playing it with my friends : )
Actually, I kind of know Y.b.M. When I first got into the fg scene it was for Smash and Y.b.M is a great Kirby player in SSBB (uses the Wiimote last I saw). I even did a podcast with him and the Cincinnati Brawl crew (known as the God Kais). I think that was Episode #5. He mentioned then that he likes other fighting games besides Smash.
