@ Nathan - Is MWC still $90 for each person? Or has the costs cut down since more people are staying in your room? I’m putting money aside this weekend and I want to know how much I am putting up. Also, what does the money cover? Just gas and hotel?
@ Everyone - I’m potentially going to have people come to my place this Sunday. It depends on what kind of homework I get done this weekend or if I’m going out of town. I should be able to handle those things though.
I have 3 TV’s now, but if you guys want to bring more TVs, I should have the room to setup. I know people have copies of Super floating around so if you want to bring that for some people to sit in training mode or even some matches, by all means bring it :). I enjoy playing you in ST (and it wasn’t me talking shit about you, bear in mind), but I do remember before I got good at the game, reading the old Dayton thread (I lurked a long time before I posted) and hearing about how you could beat anyone in ST…and now that there are other people who are good at it, you don’t want to play it for money now? It’s okay to admit you don’t want to lose your money, it really is; there is no shame in that. Especially to me. I mean, it’s the only game I play, and I’ve been playing it constantly for about 16 months. If I couldn’t beat someone who plays it casually, what would that say about me? But at least admit the real reasoning you wouldn’t want to money match in 3S or ST vs Adam or me, respectively. It isn’t based on your principle, or the fact that you “already destroyed” everyone in these games…it’s because you don’t want to lose your money. And it’s okay to admit that. No shame. Adam used to play 3S as his main game and I play ST as my main game, so there’s really no reason you should be ashamed to say that’s why you don’t want to money match in them; that is, because you know you will lose. The past is the past and has no bearing on the present or the future. As I understand it, when you played the Dayton crew in 3rd Strike, you’d already been playing it for quite some time and they were just now getting into it. That’s like Mike Tyson fighting a baby, I mean, c’mon. Bragging you destroyed them then is like saying you beat up a retarded kid: nothing to be proud of and it’s kind of fucked up. That’s no poke at the Dayton crew now, as they’ve leveled up quite a bit, but back then they were just starting out. You’ve been playing these games a lot longer. The real shame is that you HAVEN’T stuck to a game…that you HAVEN’T really gotten good at any of them… You say if you had stuck with 4, you’d be really good at it…why didn’t you? I understand disliking the games, but you don’t even stick to games you claim to like… Why?
