you can only gain one level at a time on the pokewalker so you have to trade them back to your game before they can gain another level. so its stops abuse but still rewards. the pokewalker is more for things like raising happines and finding rare items/pokemon. its nice to know you playing your game when your not playin your game. and if you wash them they break so no washer.

People don’t like to be forced into something, especially when you say “Hey, let’s check with everyone!” then suddenly it pops up without checking with everyone.
Of course…Pretty sure everyone’s over 18 here, so I’m sure we’ve all gotten used to “disappointment” by this point in our lives. If it’s actually annoying /shrug and get over it I suppose.
Honestly, I preferred two threads, because having one thread for a large group can get kind of annoying/confusing having to sift through convo’s I really could care less for…and then it’s also easier to miss important posts too. (I.E. DL’s “Ohio” thread).
That, and it basically signifies the “death” of the “Dayton” region of gaming. For anything eventful we always gotta go down to Cincy, and if we run stuff(and say we’re running stuff) very few Cincy guys would ever come up to our mess. But then I suppose our region was dying a slow death for awhile anyways, or at least it could be argued.
Anyway, I’m rarely involved in crap right now anyways, but figured I’d give those against it their two cents since the only one who’d be annoyed enough and would say something is Ross, and everyone always assumes he’s raging whenever he talks against the “majority”. Then I end up talking to a lot of people who don’t care for stuff but don’t SAY they don’t care for stuff which just leaves dude on an island…(also doesn’t help he sounds like he’s raging when he posts…but eh, whichever).
But yeah, I don’t really care for it myself, because it makes the life of a lurker harder, since I never had a reason to check the Cincy thread for anything…now I’m gonna have to sift through it, and there’s a better chance I’ll miss something that I actually want to read.

i waited a good 24 some odd hours to make this thread and in those 24 hours i got nothing but support and now that its here ppl start to complain. something should have been said before it was made. i know 24 hours isnt that long but it seems to me that most ppl still think it a good idea and most ppl who have access to the net and no job check this more than every 24 hours so if my post was ignored by nay sayers then too bad you missed your chance to vote. and how is this the death of the dayton. what just cuz you guys dont have a thread to call your own. hell neither does cincy anymore and nky hasnt had their own thread in a long time and no one from there seemed to care. i didnt realize that having a separate thread for dayton was such a big deal…doesnt mean i care tho cuz its a stupid childish thing to cry about. again everyone wants to be friends online and irl but now dayton is too good for a combo thread i dont buy it. like it or not its a good idea for multiple reasons. both of our combined scenes never had that many ppl in it so now its one decent sized scene so i doubt that you will have a hard time finding what you need in all of our posts. i didnt make this thread with lurkers in mind i made it with the event organizers and the movers and shakers in mind. but now im gettin sick of arguing my point. ive said all i want to on the matter and shouldnt have to say anymore but dont let that stop the ppl who wanna tell me off from telling me off. im just gonna refer to my previous posts from now on.

No complaint, just sharing my opinion.
For someone who doesn’t have to post in two threads to organize what I need to do (moving bodies) It was easier just tossing a post in a smaller thread, and checking said thread if people said yes or no to needing said ride, or figuring out what might be going on and when, blah blah blah. What’s more, most of the Tekken talk was always in the Cincy stuff, and most of the 2-D discussion was in the Dayton threads, now that’ll be intermingled, or one will end up dominating the other, and/or any niche discussion get swallowed up, blah blah.
And 24 hours for something like that isn’t that much of a chance to gauge peoples opinions…and if you did it for SSF4, then you could’ve waited at leas a week before merging crap and getting opinions from everyone. The game doesn’t come out till end of next month…right?
Never said there weren’t benefits to it…but you can’t pretend there’s nothing but benefits because it benefits you and leaves others out of the lurch.
Not really a big deal, but I didn’t want to see Ross get killed because he stated his opinion, which just happened to go against what the more vocal posters happened to say. And I really doubt he’s alone…so I posted to show he wasn’t alone in thinking this way.
In the end, it just makes my forum/SRK life “harder”. And in the end, it just makes your forum/SRK life “easier” right? Which is fine, since you’re more active then I am anyway…but let’s not pretend that there aren’t people who don’t like it at the same time.

What’s done is done, no beef, just giving my opinion. Just keep in mind you gotta deal with a group that by itself is half as big as the total of the Cincy/KY group now…and you want them all to co-exist in one thread.

These opinions sound a lot more like complaining to me. Anyway, I like the combined thread idea. Cincy doesn’t post that much anyway, so nothing will change for the most part.
Also, I suggest we just pm the 777’s to phil since he’s the combo video man. When people start posting those combos in here it just clutters up the thread and its just more shit for the people who don’t care about tekken to sift through.
In closing, amalgamating the threads is good for me because I like to read what everyone posts in the cincy thread and the dayton thread and now I, as well as other people, have a good way to read everything all at once as opposed to reading the stuff in the cincy thread and then clicking over and starting back from what I missed in the dayton thread. Its a nice little time saver.
Are we still talking about that?
Anyways, if all goes well I may drop by the arcade on Thursday, I managed to sell my Warhammer 40k models so I’ll be getting some much needed cash. Hopefully gas isn’t $3 by then.
