Cincinnati OH, Dayton OH, and Northern Kentucky: I have the best Wesker!

i still play natsu a lot. right now if i had to guess my tournament team would be roy/zaki/natsu and maybe kyosuke instead of natsu or roy but zaki is always on the team cuz shes a beast

and i finally got my tekken 5 stick so now im really in the market for a ps2 to ps3 or ps2 to dc adapter so if anyone has one they wanna sell hit me up. if not ill just buy one from the internet but i dont wanna do that cuz i hate waiting for it to come. when i buy something i should be able to have it right away…

Ok cool its free now and also would kris be able to ride with you also kyle? I sent you a message on facebook about it.

…certainly beats “Indestructible”

I’m still salty about the new in-game announcer. Kind of wish Capcom would go back to not giving a fuck what people thought. Indestructable is tolerable compared to that hummer owner.

ya man practice up. we have been talkin about seein if we could get a small tourny together for project justice during powerup. so the more ppl who play around here the better

Cabinet art completed Jesse I sent you a PM about the sizing dimensions for the cabinet… cause I seem to have misplaced the PM you sent about the dimensions.

Usual Sinclair Suspects: There will be games tomorrow, so come get you some.

Yeah Ill probabaly be down there tomorrow eric. Taking a break from the artwork for a day.

Cool man, if Jason comes down hopefully we’ll get some 3S in.

OOOOOO 3s… Ill be bringing my copy.

Jesse and Nathan, my brother and some friends of his are starting up a podcast soon, and he wants to plug AL and PowerUp. Was wondering (Jesse) what sort of information you would want him to put out there for AL. These guys are more general gamers, so if you can imagine, they play whatever’s new/popular in a lot of cases, and have been lifelong gamers since NES, so nostalgia factors in, and they’re even thinking about doing a segment focusing on one classic game per show, as well as whatever they’re currently playing. Also, for PowerUp, I don’t know how you can spin that to make it appeal to a more mainstream audience, but I figure everybody that’s old enough to have played SFII in arcades thinks they love it, even though they never really got good at it, so you might reach some people this way. Anyway, if you guys can let me know what you want him to say, that’d be cool.

Also, his name is Elijah, and his number is 513-482-1941 if you need to call him. Thanks bros.

@Matt: So is your brother looking for a kind of blurb that he can say about PowerUp? In that case, I’ll write something down and send it to you in a pm. I think I can get it to appeal to general gamers. Post up the links to his show when he gets it rolling. I’d like to listen to it : )

Make PowerUp mainstream?

Simple. Team tournaments in Modern Warfare 2, Halo ODST, and Smash Bros. Unfortunatley, the main side-effect is that those would out-shine the fighters.

I saw 3rd Strike mentioned earlier. Does Sinclair still have a strong Third Strike community? I could bring my PS3 and my copy of the Street Fighter Anniversary Edition by sometime or bring my DC copy of it if someone supplies the DC.

Well we were playing it for a bit there today.

Strong 3s community? No. A few players that are still willing to play for nostalgia, yes. I’m never there so you won’t get to hear CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH all day, but Ross and Jason will humor you.

lol… adam… real life urien much?

Not at all what I was talking about. Nathan already seems to understand what I was saying, but I meant pitch what’s already happening in a way that would get mainstream gamers to maybe check it out. Not making the tournament suck so that only halo (word for homosexuals that starts with “f” and gets filtered) go.

Also Nathan, a blurb would probably be fine, but I was just wondering what are the main points you would want him to mention or whatever. I don’t know what he had in mind to say, but he said he totally wants to help out if possible.

Off the top of my head, I’d say a few simple things to keep in mind for PowerUp on your bro’s podcast would be:

  • SFII in arcades, the arcade scene and it’s movement to being online. PowerUp stems from the growth in the community.
  • SFII has evolved, and provided additional opportunities for the creation of the newer fighting games we play today.
  • PowerUp is driven toward looking at and celebrating individual players of all skill levels.
  • Competition and community is at the center of what drives PowerUp.

Hopefully that’s kind of what your brother is looking for. If he does need a blurb just let me know and I’ll pm one. Your inbox is full, btw : )
