Quan, I don’t think that tourney is gonna happen. For a benefit 2 happen, all the proceeds (venue fee in our case) goes towards the benefit itself. In order 2 do that, we need a free venue so all the proceeds can actually go towards the benefit & it’s cause. If we don’t have a free venue, it essentially makes the benefit frivoless, since all the proceeds will be going towards paying for the actual venue. I don’t know about u guys, but I certainly for one don’t have the money 2 buy a whole place out by myself for a video game tournament. It’s some shitty shit, but unfortunately for that benefit tourney 2 take place, we NEED a free venue, & everywhere that I know of 2 play WILL require a venue fee. Fuckin’ A!!!

VGGS to Mike; Phil; Adam; and Derrick. That shit was off the chain. I would say that was the best session we had; so far. I’m going thru all the matches from last night. Can you believe we recorded over 3hours of shit?:amazed:

I have two matches already up on youtube. Watch them in Hi-res. It’s better that way:tup: I have alot more to go through. WWM broke it all down into over 800 clips. It’s going to take me about a day or so to sift through it all.

Derrick, solid shit last night brother. :tup: Julia was on point as always. Plus, good shit w/ Nina, Hei-crotchy (lol), & Law. I definately believe u need 2 use that Law more often. Ur Law is solid man. Busting out DSS cancels like they were shit. Nicely done. :tup:

Dave, good shit last night bro. Ur Anna was solid as always. Plus, I’ve seen a lot of improvement from ur Kaz as well. Keep up w/ the Kaz work, it’ll pay off 4 sure. Also, just remember: INVADE! INVADE! INVADE! For this week, work on breaking in2 the spacing of ur opponents. A lot of characters u use bro can do a good job @ that. If u work really hard @ doing that this week, I promise u that u will definately see some results from the work u will put in2 that. :tup: I’ll definately be looking forward 2 our next session of Anna vs Lili 4 sure. :tup:

Adam, I was seeing some nice stuff from ur Bruce brotherman. Ur hard work is definately paying off 4 sure. Ur definately getting better the more u play. Just remember 2 work on those juggles I told u about. The ones u have now are not bad, but a key lesson here is that if ur juggles do more damage when u do them, that means the less u have 2 work 2 win a round or a match. Also, incorporate that SS&1 goodness I’ve been tellin’ ya about. That move is the bomb-digity w/ Bruce. Keep up the good work my brother from another mother. :tup:

2maro I will have a post on here pointing out all the details & the essentials 4 the St. Louis trip. That way, we have a general outline of what’s going on, & from that, we can develop more ideas & have a general consensus from each other as 2 what we need 4 our journey. :tup:

It’s tuesday post casual re-cap time LOL I should get some special tune everytime I say that. I think we got the formula down for a good nite of gaming.

Adam: Bruce is def on the rise now, I think like Dave, u are getting better as the weeks progress cause you are constantly being challenged. I agree with Mike that memorizing his higher damage juggles will def help you out a lot more in the long run and end matches a lot quicker. Plus u get crowd reaction as well. U def won a couple close ones last night and it was well deserved. Kudos.

Dave: Anna was def a bish last night. The more you play the more impressed we get so def keep up the good work. Kaz as always is coming along nicely. Just work on those mix-ups we discussed and watch the wins rack up. Looking forward to the new footage.

Derrick: Nice tasty Julia and some nice Law skills too. I enjoyed our first to 5 series (that went on even longer then expected LOL). Can’t say much other then I am ready for a rematch when you are.

Mike: As always, challenging matches with some almost zen-esque throw breaking (which is why I use the unbreakable throw heh) and spacing. Happy to say last night wasn’t a complete wash-out like last week was and I actually caught up in the end (lol thank you Frankenteiners!). Wang is def on the rise again but King is still my fave.

Can’t wait for St Louis… only a month away fellas!!

St. Louis Tourney Stuff

As promised, here’s the nitty gritty of what we need 2 know & what we need 2 have 4 the St. Louis Trip. I’ll update this noise whenever we have new or better ideas that might help us out w/ costs, knowing what’s going on, etc.

St. Louis Trip

>Room is reserved for 2 Nights @ $59.99 each night (4 ppl =$30 for 2 nights)
>Trip to & from St. Louis is approximately 364 miles, give or take picking ppl up
>Gas Money will be pretty expensive, costing somewhere between $3.50 - $3.80:
*Dave’s Car = 12 gallons - 300 miles
*Adam’s Car = 10 gallons - 350 miles
*Estimating that ppl bring somewhere between $30 - $50 for gas money
>We’ll be leaving Friday May 23rd somewhere between 2 - 3 pm, SO BE READY!!!
>We won’t be stopping 2 much @ all, so bring snacks, drinks, etc.
>Stop half-way point each way 2 fill back up so we don’t burn gas & save $$$
>Arrive in St. Louis @ the hotel between 9 - 11 pm depending on traffic
>Once we arrive, we’ll get the room right away. No fuckin’ around w/ that noise!
>Once we’re settled in, relax & have fun for the night. Hopefully, we’ll get sleep.
>Registration begins @ 12 pm & the tournies will start shortly after. BE READY!!!
>Be @ the hotel all day & night Saturday for the tourney
>Stay @ the hotel for Saturday Night
>Wake up & depart from the hotel between 11am - 12pm on Sunday to go home

Important Stuff You Need 2 Bring AKA Don’t Forget Ur SHIT!!!

>Money: You’ll need this! Each person should bring @ least $200 - $300 for:
*Gas money
*Food like snacks, drinks, & cheap meals. Nothing lavish here so quit ur bitchin.’
*Tournament Stuff: $5 entry fee, $10 per game entered, except DR, which is $20
>Bring ur ID: It is 18+. If u don’t have it, u won’t be able 2 go 2 the tournament!
>Bring ur Equipment: That means u need 2 have:
*Controllers/Arcade Sticks/Pelican Converters
*Bring any games u may want 2 play, like TTT, 3S, CVS2, MVC2, etc.
>Stuff that us peeps will bring:
*Dave: Bringing his PS3, possibly a small TV, couple coolers
*Derrick: Possibly his small TV
*Sluch: PS3 Power Cord, A/V cables, possibly a Power Strip
*Phil: PS2 Slimline w/ cords & his MP3 Phone for music
*Last but not least: Yourselves w/ everything u need

That all looks good Mike! Is it a possibilty we will be using my system for casuals during the day on Saturday? Im sure the more systems they have the better. I will talk to ya sometime before Monday about some of the details I might want to iron out.

Nice organisation from our main dude Mike. I can bring my slimline ps2 and cords to the tournament so we can have TTT casuals if u guys want.

Dave: Sounds awesome. Guess I will have to wait till Monday but it will be worth the wait for sure. I know a couple of matches which I will love to upload for sure.
My phone doubles as my mp3 player so I will def load that up for the trip.

If we end up being at my place this upcoming week, we are going to have to skip TTT capturing for another week but def save some energy for next time.

Btw I have my matches from Smyrna tournament uploaded on my youtube page if anyone wants to see. Just click the “TN tournament playlist” and it plays the matches in order.

I know what you mean. There’s a few I would like some of those intros you do on them. There’s the one with you and Mike just throw breaking like it was nothing. I watched that one several times already. That’s going to insoire me to work on my own breaks.

I just got done with burning them to disc. The footage is clocked at 1:12:35. I ended up getting 31 matches. There’s alot of Phil in there. I did however got the entire series of Phil and Derrick’s Julia series. I’ll let you decide on those Phil.

We’ll just have to wait till we are all at my place again for recording TTT. I know I want to get some more practice in before I do that. I would like to pick up on some more Hei juggles.

Just watched those Tourney matches again. Very nice. It’s just akward watching you play just a 2 round match. Is one of those have the guy saying “I don’t want to fight this dude” ? I probably missed it. That shit was too funny. lol!

Yeah Dave that was a awesome match when me and Mike just broke throws like nothing else. Def want to make a special intro and music for that one.

Nice to know we got all the Julia vs Julia matches, I will def upload them so me and Derrick can watch it again and steal stuff from each other.

In regards to the tournament match with the random commentary, I haven’t upload it yet. I will upload it some time soon tho and yeah even now when i hear dude i crack up.

Hey guys, I was combing thru the forums over on TZ. Slips said that Registration will start around 12:00 pm. I’d imagine that the tournament will start shortly after that.

Also, Slips said that 4 the tournament set-up, there will be 16 TVs in the main room (impressive), w/ 8 TVs divided for one game & the other 8 TVs divided up for another game, w/ each game’s tournament taking about 2 hours to complete. Definately a bad-ass setup if u ask me. :tup:

However, when I was doing my research on getting this great article of Tekken Knowledge, it was left incomplete. Yo Sluch! i kno you work at gameworks and shit, so your the man to ask this question. Do you kno anything about a SF4 cab comin to gameworks? I really think we will have one either GW or DnB. Really the only places i can think of around here that still @ least kind of count as an arcade. BTW you kno wonderpark is completely gone. They didnt have to kill it, just put some descent games in there. i was sick of playing scooby doo vs yu gay oh.

Luke, as far as SF4 is concerned, I’m not 2 sure if Gameworks will get it or not. I know that we’re suppossed 2 get some new games in this year, but what they are & when they will get here is a whole different story. I wish I could give some better info, but I’m just a lowly manager. I don’t really hear shit about that stuff @ all. :sad:
