it’s about 30 minutes from my sister’s house, which isn’t spectacular but it works. when do you guys think the most cincy people will be there? i’m leaning towards saturday afternoon, any idea what time i should come?

AAAhhhhhh Mr Popo Popoblo. I played you at the small CvS2 tournament at Game City 360 and got 2nd place to your 1st. I played Chris Rose and VDO and got my ass handed to me but won a few, and I mean a FEW matches against em both. I’m ready to face you again. We’ll meet and it’ll be like the intro of Kyo and Iori… except we dont have pretty colored fire.
I’ll be there tonight and Saturday afternoon man. I believe some of the Dayton Family may be there as well.

Mike South should be everyones hero. That arcade gets an A in my book. Old school heaven. The owners are cool too and open minded. They’ll probably get more games and stuff too.

that arcade is the shit good games(micheal jacksons moon walker) the owners are cool and its right down the street from where i work so ill be there a lot mon thru fri from like 9-10 i dunno about the weekends just depends on what i got goin on

got home from the arcade a bit ago.
it’s awesome. i’m really glad a place like this opened up. the owners are cool, the machines are in good condition for the most part (sticks for mvc2 and the sf4 faux cabinet are kinda blah, but will be fixed) and it seems like a good place to run tournaments.
i was talking to one of the owners and he wants to host a kof tournament when 12 gets released, but he doesn’t know when a good day will be. they don’t want huge tournaments on weekends really because of the other patrons, but they wanted to find out if sunday nights would work. they close the store at 6 and after 7 they would have all the space open for the tourney goers.
would a sunday night tournament interest anyone in the cincy area?

4-player TMNT? Sure… just as long as we follow that up with some 4-player Metamorphic Force and start ghetto-stompin’ some fools.
The arcade was a great place to spend time, and I’ll definately be going back. Their SSF2 cabinet (they tried to get Super Turbo. If anyone knows someone selling a copy, they’d love to know) had some really shitty sticks, though. Couldn’t even 2-in-1 on those damned things.
IV was a blast to play on their arcade-like stand (had the front part of a Tekken cabinet there with what appeared to be Axisdaptered pads inside it. Made for a wireless setup) infront of a HUGE screen. Ran Happ parts, though, which made me happy, but I’m not sure the rest of the players were. Also needed better Start button placement. PS3 version, though, and button setup was non-standard. Also didn’t have Gouken (:annoy:) or Seth unlocked.
Whatever days you go let me know Adam and Keith. If I aint doin anything im down. Me and Mike South was straight ghetto stomping bosses quite litterally on that…DAMN I forgot the name of the game. Something morph… AAAAHHHHHH he’ll say it whenever he posts. Anyways it was some funny shit.
I played that Metamorphic Force on MAME one time, it was X-men with just different sprites. Still fun though. Dibs on the panther.
Okay place in all, but it’ll be worth 12 when they get some racing games in there. No arcade is complete without some.

Because as it is, I wouldnt spend 12 bucks in quarters/tokens if they were machine by machine basis as it is. But some good racing games with stick shift? I’ll be hitting start all day, definiely getting my moneys worth.
I like the console setups, hope the games switch out every so often.

Thanks to everyone who came this weekend and packed the place out. Like some others have said, we are fixing all the problems you guys mentioned. The SSF2 sticks will be replaced and we will be straightening up the SFIV sticks & hopefully replacing them with some Sanwa sticks or something comparable.
We really want to get a SFIII 3rd Strike. I’ve been looking for it since we decided to do this and it just not easy to find, especially within a reasonable distance. We will get a SSF2 Turbo board as soon as one crosses our path. Also, not a game that shows up that often. As soon as we get them or any other fighter for that matter, we will post it up here, our website and myspace so you will know.
We will have KOF98 in the NEO GEO cab hopefully by this weekend.
As far as racing games go, the problem was space. They take up as much space as 2 or 3 other games. So sorry to say don’t expect to a racing game anytime soon. BUT if I do find a RACE DRIVIN, I will find space for it. That game is stellar.
As ailerus said, we want to do a KOF12 tournament the week it comes out. Alot of people have offered to help and bring sticks which is awesome and much &appreciated. We can do a bigger tourney if we do it on a Sunday night. Saturday seems to work better for most people so if that’s the general consensus then we can just do a smaller one on Saturday.
Also, we are having a small SFIV tournament on Saturday (May 30th) at 8pm. Only 32 spots. Pot is split 70-20-10 plus we will throw in some a free admission pass to come back to the top 3. Total cost is $15 ($8 for all you can play admission for the whole day and $7 towards the pot). With 32 people the payout is $156, $44, $24 plus an admission pass for each. I wasn’t sure how much people would be willing to wager on these tournaments but I’ve heard $7 is low. We don’t take any of that money so if you guys want a higher pot, let me know and next tourney will be a higher entry fee. I was thinking single elimination for this first one so we can see how long it runs, but I hear that it’s pretty much a standard to do double elim. If we have 4 setups, 2 PS3 & 2 XBOX 360, we start at 8pm and can be done by 1am, I’m all for double elim. What do you guys think? Also, anyone willing to bring their stick, let us know. We will need 2 PS3 and 4 XBOX sticks.
