and how many Makoto players are at J lvl? almost none, The Japanese put makoto at tier 2 but every tornament I watch are fill with a bunch of Yun, Ken & Chun, very little Makotos
We are talking about top tiers BUT you have to give some credit to Ibuki and Akuma also. Maybe you’re being biased to those two characters based on some bad gaming experience you had, but you have to admit that even though a particular character is seen as “Top tier” or “Low tier”, some character aren’t complete shit and DO have some potential to be used pretty decently (yes, even Sean). I’m not an Akuma fan myself, but I do like Ibuki and even though they do take a bit more effort to win a match. But hey, that’s up to you and your own personal playing style. Some people will pick a “Robot Chun”, spam B+HP and breeze through for the easy win, some will maybe choose someone else and go for the honourable win. For serious players, the game would get pretty boring and one sided if all you did was spam hadoukens, sweeps, Hurricanes, whatever. If you want to be a well rounded player, you have to challenge yourself.

Yeah. I know that. I was on the sensible side. Tiers exist, and are fairly concrete, even as a characters mixups get slightly easier to parry. And yes, I know Chun is toptier.

I never claimed to know anything about J, I don’t call him at home or go to his house for Christmas and I never did claim to be an exeptional Makoto player, I’m pretty average I guess because I don’t really use her at that much. I doubt you can play Makoto either since you didn’t prove anything or offer any knowledge about Makoto or the the game itself for that matter.

I was there during monday nite too… dont remember a Urien/Q player… except for this one brown guy that used Urien but not Q, and he came with his brother and gf I think.
I mostly use Pink Dudley.
P.S if u were there monday nite u should see a whole bunch of asian kids playing, I was one of them.
