I’ve been lurking on this forum for quite a while and I always wanted to post up a vid of me playing for criticism. I finally got a vid of me playing and want your guys’ input please. I really wanted all 5 of our matches to be included, but my friend only put up the last match. I REALLY wanted the one match where I lost with Chun, so I can get some input on the things I did wrong, but he hasn’t uploaded it yet.
vs Dr. Chaos offline tournament, this passed weekend.
Chun match starts at 3:44.
I played how I wanted to play…it’s just one of those things where I made maybe one mistake, but nothing too regretful. It was fun to watch again because the situations he created were smart stuff, so kudos to him.
The last round, his well placed air EX kara tatsu over my kikoken got him in on me. I couldn’t catch it with st.forward at that point, I had to play more careful and look for it for a longer time without limiting myself.
I’m 0-2 against this guy…I’ll try and steal one next time!!! :china:
I don’t quite get what you mean here. Are you saying that mashing standing jabs will hit Zangief doing a Green Hand? And if you see the EX Green Hand you block instead?
chaos was quite nice MM, so was your chun. that ex hurricane was pwning you though… chun needs better AA everycharacter in the game can alter there jumpins damn near… makes defense alot harder especially for chun.
^ Don’t know who that Chun player is, but he ANNIHILATES Sagat and makes the match up look easy. I saw what he did though, his risk/reward decisions were just insanely on point, and his knowledge of block strings and tools used were exceptional. A very good and worthy watch.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that was a very good Sagat player. He didn’t know how to block the J.FPx2. Stuff like missing Tiger Uppercuts, maybe it was the Chun player that baited them or something, but mostly they play similar to how I already try to play Sagat. What new things do we learn from this match?
He owns Rufus, that wasn’t a problem for his playstyle.
The Blanka player knew the match EXTREMELY well. By that, meaning he didn’t do SHIT except good time balls, and EX rainbow ball out the corner and time over. Nemo missed an ultra punish, which inspires me to make a damn youtube video on how to punish Blanka’s ultra. Makes me sick to see Blanka steal a win at that level of play. I’m going to pass it to Desora so he can give it to SAW…maybe it will get around hopefully.
Just some random vids of…me! I was trying to catch this Fei Long player on video, but I never ran into him. So these are just some vids of me taking on G1 fights while waiting. I’m mostly taking the vid not to show you guys, but to watch it myself and try to improve my play. So if you have anything you wanna critique/rip into, be my guest! This also gives you a small idea of what the comp is like on the Japanese PSN.

What can I say about the Ryu match - I was just off on everything. I’d get my revenge later.

I f’n hate this Gen, I’m sure I have an overall losing record against him. This Guile is arguably the best Guile on PSN. I’d played him 4 times the previous day and went 1-3 against him. I get the opening hit in the match because he always starts the first round like that. I like this Guile a lot, I respect any Guile that’s not all about walking themselves into a corner.
The Sagat match…the first round…talk about random BS ultra. The Sagat player should have sent me hate mail.

Same Ryu player from the first set. And I also hate Gouken. :razzy:
Regarding gouken, I’m not all too familiar with his anti airs (up fireball?), but I know that gouken players are ever eager to counter jump ins, which leads me to suggest, more empty jump-ins > throw for you! Especially since you only really lost by just that much.
Noticed you weren’t aware of your ex bars (or lack of) at times.
