Yun matchup
A offline FT7 against a other chun in my scene(i’m the cleavage & thigh chun)…
The mirror match is probably my worst match up to be honest because i never train to beat chun-LI… lol
just beating a flowchart online rolento
If you can fight Guile with patience, I think you should do well in the mirror
me vs a friend’s Yun
@LaduAU
I watched the first couple of mirrors. Nothing too horribad. Just some dropped EX LL combos (that happens to me too lol ). And I suppose the anti-airing could be better. The Alpha suit Chun just wasn’t challenging much of your jumpins at all. Plus both Chuns seem to be afraid to anti-air if when they had no EX for EX Bird. Barely any s. hp
Still I’ll be watching it and see if I have any more takeaways
The difference to me is that guile doesn’t have the great normal’s that chun has or maybe the guile’s i play in my scene crack & have shit fundamentals…
thanks…yeah i’m not too used to anti airing the floaty jump and i dont get much mirror practice to begin with (only play once a month)… lol
Chun has better normals, but outside of leg loops, Guile has better punishes for less/no meter imo
me vs a friend’s Akuma
FT10 vs a friend’s Cammy a while ago
Starts at 1:40:32, I actually experimented with E. Honda before that. Lots of things done wrong but I pulled it off, thanks @Malvadisco
Next one will be vs a Juri/Sagat
Dru and another friend of mine in Manila
Sloppy set vs a friend’s Honda, lots random damage. Remind me not to df hk anymore :bawling:
Bunch of Chuns at Texas Showdown, in fact.
What do you guys think of the Chun - Zangief match after seeing it so many times at Texas Showdown (2 times KBrad - Snake and Ricki - Snake).
Do you really think its 7 - 3 as the “general public” thinks?
I personally think its much closer.
Nerf chun, Op she’s OP
Valmaster is officially going to Evo this year. Who wanna bet chun is going to be considered the most op character by “putanyplayername” dickriders.
This is probably going to shock some people, but I’ve always thought it was even or almost even ever since v2012. Hell, Juri-Zangief imo isn’t that hopeless either.
Average giefs are just salty that they have to put work to get in… but imo, it’s easier for them to do that vs Chun-Li than say, Honda
I hope Valmaster has been finding his love for the game again He said a few months back that he was tired of the game. I haven’t seen much about him, but if he’s going to Evo I wish him the best!
Hopefully he’ll still be using Chun and not just Elena.
Any word on other Chun players attending Evo yet? I’m sure Lud will be going.
Odds are Infiltration, Kbrad, Ricky etc., will be using her for certain match-ups. But as fundamentally sound as they play, they give up more opportunities than someone like Valmaster would do.
Those players are soooo much better than I am, and still I´m sitting in my chair seeing how much damage or opportunities they leave on the table.
It burns…
On the other hand I did not know how usefull cr. HP as an Antiair vs gief is.
I´m totally gonna steal this from Ricki.
It’s the risk involved with counter picking. Sure you get the advantage on paper. But if you’ve been maining some other character for so long, you might not know the finer details of the matchup.
Ortiz has used Chun on and off since Super, at least.
gief vs chun is a solid 5-5 imo
gief comeback potential is just too good
A friend vs another friend’s Hugo
