Some more recent vids of dru

Some recommended vids that popped up on my YT sidebar

hm, must be online to the max though, lol @ that end to Round 1

A little shaky (and I know he’s played and usually plays better… could have used more lows etc), but Commander Jesse shows pretty much how to handle the Guy matchup

16:17 vs Cid

Good God…that Guy player never stopped hitting buttons…

is marq teddy lol

and tbh C.jesse could avoid a lot of situations by using cr.mk and staying crouching…

Yeah that’s what I meant. if he c. mk or c. mp more, a lot of Guy pressure could have been relieved.

And yes that was Marq, best Guy in the US.

Some casuals

me vs a friend’s Gouken 12:03 onwards

first experience vs Omega Dudley

part of a set vs Akuma

Wow Val had Rolento on smash! He’s an inspiration.

Thanks 4neqs for the Elena video, haven’t seen that one yet on youtube
Still having some issues with this matchup at least online; Elena seems very quick and hard to react too if you aren’t really focused.
And then they can heal about 2 times a round, which doesn’t help.

You have to keep within the range where you can effectively stop/stuff healing. Also be aware of her high low. I presume both things are way more annoying online. Old set with my friend, I don’t 100% get the matchup either, but staying out of range/zoning/camping on a life lead and preventing or punishing U2 attempts has been successful for me thus far. I was told this was a U2 matchup, though I’ve had more success with U1 to discourage Elena U2. Hm. Since EX kiko and EX HSU are also a quick fix though, I might transition to U2 eventually.

A few Chun vids on the HK vs Singapore set. Some Val-like YOLO HSU tendencies. Otherwise, basic stuff that works

And Tommy is Tommy :3

Some decent online matches I found on my subscriber wall: Nailkaizer Soma (link)

Some matches vs my friend’s Seth/Akuma. PS3 HDD ran into probs that day, so I briefly lost the Ultra patch. Ack.

A Valmaster vid from the recent Euro meet.

Pls YOLO HSU less. :disappointed: First time in a long while that I’ve seen a non-divekick character go ham on Guile like that.

Gotta hand it to him, that dude had Valmaster’s number in the first game.
As for the last game of the set; especially in the last round, seemed like he was mashing them lights a lot and scoring counter hits like crazy.
Headset toss…been there, lol!

Seems like some players have really caught onto Val’s tricks too, he’s not getting the mileage he used to get out of HSUs and some of his pressure tactics are getting stomped. Really hope he can bounce back after some tough losses I’ve seen him dealt lately.

I’ve tried a lot of those pressure tactics online and they don’t have much success rate in that environment.
I think players online just don’t give a crap and will reversal anything they can get there hands on.
Offline players seem to respect one another more.

I feel Val’s pain, I probably would have yolo hsu just as much. It can be hard to stay patient and disciplined when you’re dealing with a crouch blocker. From where I’m sitting he should have and would have won that match if it wasn’t for the dropped links late in the set. If he landed cr. short x legs~ultra in second to last rd he would have taken it.

@Rayartz online is a ridiculous place where mash reversal reigns supreme.

@Fresh314 , this I know too well, lol!!!
