I stumbled across a video of Y24 countering a whiffed air burning kick with Hosenka.
Has anyone seen this done before? Is it practical?

It occurs at the 1 minute mark.

Also, he sure loves to walk up cl.RH.

That’s hilarious. I watched this last night and tried to land this on a buddy of mine who mains viper. It’s almost a lost cause. I think in order for this to happen viper has to fuck up the sjc somehow. I can’t see this being done on purpose anyhow.

Y24 just abuses the shit outta chuns normals. Watching his footies is like poetry in motion.

Edit: I stand corrected

If you know Viper’s Burn Kick is going to whiff, Hosenka works. Also prevents her from spamming it for meter.

I’m sure this is a personal preference, but I actually prefer Hosenka against Viper. It keeps her honest with her specials.

yeah i think that was just random

Option select was pretty nice!! i got for ST Fierce punish rather than ultra 2

Nice OS to ultra is using ultra 2. Is ultra 2 better than ultra 1 in the Rog match up?, because I use ultra 1 so he stops throwing full screen rush punches.

Is it just me or was their some weird moments in that video?
In round one the Chun Li player did a nj.HK that should have connected and it seemed to whiff completely and in turn ate a punish from balrog. the weirdest thing was the last round Kikosho fail. Is that because it takes longer to start up? I ask because in SSF4 that would have caught him at least close to the ground.

Seeing all these AE videos really make me bumbed there are zero arcades in my area worth a poo.

Hey guys. Just want to share this little video of what happened to me last night. Chun supered right after a hazanshu. As in you can still see the blue light indication on when to input the super. I was originally trying to do: j.hk>cl.st.hk>hp.kiko>mk super, but my execution fails due to fast inputting aka mashing.
Here it is
Will this mean that you can input the super this way: cl.st.hk (holding back)>press forward>qcb.mk>forward mk? I tried to see if i can redo it in training but i can’t.
Any idea?

I actually had a play around in training room, and found a relatively successful method of pulling this out, though the consistency is somewhat fractured. My method is charge db, df, b + k (this executes hazanshu since df, b + k is the shortcut for doing it), f + hk~mk~lk (or mash kicks). There is no real elegant method to doing the last bit, but essentially, it’s easier to just mash kicks after the f input, but if you really wanted to feel a little more elegant while doing it, it’s better to piano hk~mk~lk and delay the first hk input ever so slightly after pressing forward.

I don’t see any practical use for this apart from styling after a FA crumble, and since you’re virtually always moving forward when doing hazanshus anyway, you very rarely have charge after a hazanshu to do this unless you are consciously thinking about doing it in the first place. Anyway, go for broke guys. Maybe you guys have a better method for this.

Yo, wait up.

Hazanshu can be CANCELLED INTO SUPER?

That is godlike.

Not too useful in a match (unless you know Hazanshu is going to hit, in which case you probably were moving forward so you don’t have charge anyway, so you may as well link it), but cool to know. Flashy, too.

It’s a 2 frame link on mk.hazanshu iirc (on standing opponents) 1 frame on crouchers.

Well it is FADC’able so I guess it makes sense that it’s super cancellable as well. Interesting find. I bet that Akuma player was completely mindfucked after experiencing that. He’ll probably never look at Chun Li the same way again.

The only use for hazanshu canceled into super is hazanshu into focus, super.
Good luok having that on the ready for those situations though.

Nonono, I don’t mean a link. I mean a Cancel. Obviously I knew it could be linked into Super, lol. What these guys are talking about is Hazanshu xx Super, not Hazanshu > Super – that is, Super comes out almost as soon as Hazanshu hits.

That shit is fucking awesome, I’m gonna try that when I get home.

What the hell?
