U1 would’ve changed so much of the dynamics of that last round.
Your focus dash is down to a science though.
Was 2:59 just a missed block opportunity or did that really combo all the way through?

I prefer u1 against everyone aside from Viper, Cammy, Sakura, Fuerte, Rufus and that’s about it.
yup he comboed that. He’s just nasty.
here’s another match from Canada cup. I was really really nervous here.

Hey, stopping by to show some matches. I was playing on my friend’s XBL. So I was in ranked, and I was like man…this Guile is actually really good! I talk to him and find out it’s none other than Josh Wong. I invited him and we played some good, lengthy casuals. Chun vs Guile matches - here they are.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but at the end of Match 7 (the one Raiden posted) did MagMan do that df+HK too early to be safe? That shit seemed REALLY risky to me - I winced when I saw you do it because I would’ve done something similar and I always get punished for that shit.
Otherwise though, play on both sides is on point.
Thanks, I think I was most on point in match #6, barring missed combos. It’s rough being a PSN/offline player, hard to find the middle ground for XBL. I don’t do anything flashy, I’m very basic and fundamental based. But I will step it up and try some sick stuff whenever I play Chun again. I just don’t like to get too flashy because I like to stagger things so it’s basically a 2-in-1 mix up, baiting reversals too.
As for df+roundhouse, I just did it because it’s really hard to flash kick it. It’s all just a guess. Yes, it was risky, but I take risks just to show that I will take them. Unfortunately, missed ultras is me second guessing my reactions online. I get punished hard for them, though. Offline it’s all, “React to the yellow disc or don’t press 3k.” As far as df+roundhouse and flash kicks go, it’s less likely to get flash kicked than shoryu’d. Auto correct flash kick is all about timing. I do df+roundhouse on charge characters because if they block it, they have to guess a true 50/50 on throw or block - they have no reversal left. That was my intention with the df+roundhouse mainly, I wasn’t expecting it to hit at all. My suggestion for df+roundhouse is to do it slightly late, but not too late. You want it to not be easy for a -reversal- auto-correct, but not easy to -react- with an auto corrected flash kick as well. Hope that makes sense.
Actually match 6 had a sick fa dash ultra and a some sweet lvl 1 fa hit lk.hasanshu goodness. So hard for guile to react. Also guile has the worst auto correcting reversal in the game afaik. df+hk is pretty safe on knock down.
Meh, the way I see it, being flashy is almost always unnecessary unless it’s used as a mindgame to try and show the other player “Hey, I’m so unafraid of you I’m willing to waste my meter on stupid, cool-looking combos.”
Oh no, I don’t mean unnecessary type of flashiness. Just something like low fierce into LL combos whenever I get the opportunity. Only things that could be more useful that I’m not doing right now. I’ll work on it, though. I just like to get my damage and play solid for the time being, but maximizing damage could save me some trouble later on. Especially if it’s practical.
I am going to get a new TV soon, so hopefully I can start recording vids again. I have improved a lot compared to the vids currently on my YouTube (at least, I feel like I’ve improved), so hopefully I can get some new vids up and get feedback from you guys.
Uploaded some casual endless games. A FT10 with whom I consider one of the top Sagat’s in Aus anyway.

Eita didn’t play he was sick
Haneyama playing solid as always, definitely think he’s the one to take the baton in Nemo’s place.
Anyways, I found some videos of me playing Chun in a tournament about 5 months ago that I didn’t even know got recorded! I was still kinda green to all the new changes so I was playing very Vanilla-like with Chun still.
Ikaru(CH) Vs. Futile Silencer(BL) - I saw so many attempted dash ultras its silly, so ashamed of myself. Other than that I seemed to do pretty well.
You were trying to dash ultra? you probably know this but you don’t need to dash ultra. Just time it right and regular ultra works fine.
A couple things I noticed that were glaring. Chun’s bnb is useless against Blanka when he crouches. It’s a waste of meter. I wish I had some blanka matches I could show you but my bnb against blanka is just cr.lk>cr.lp> cr.mk xx ex.ll (hit confirm) / mp kikosho. When you don’t have Ultra you should be Jabbing blanka balls. If you expect them it’s not hard to react and it sets up a nice reset situation that forces blanka to react when you close in. He’s got a couple options on his wake up like ex.up ball, but they rarely use that because it requires tight timing after getting reset to charge properly. You needed to abuse st.mp more when blanka started moving forward. It’s an awesome poke.
Well I remember if you Dash Ultra you don’t have to time it, which I used to do before learning that. Also now I’m completely on the st.mp train now, move is too good!
Further to Raiden’s advice, you can meaty c.mk on his wakeup to beat reversal electricity. Her hitbox makes it whiff, and you can combo ex legs or hazanshu after it. Also, if you run him into the corner, keep him there. Don’t back away. Any balls done midscreen from the corner is very punishable (Most blankas will ex rainbow roll out of there though, but this one didn’t seem to mind the corner much). If Blanka doesn’t have meter, you can also safe jump j.hk after a throw. This beats his upball and electricity outright (Time it so you hit him at the top of his head). Also, if you don’t have enough charge, and he is jumping in on you with j.mk, you can duck that with c.mk.
That’s true, but I always use dash ultra because I don’t need to worry about the timing.
