Very nice, you’re playing much better since I last saw your matches.

The only thing I’d like to comment on was…the Sagat let you get away with a bit too much. Some of the jump back roundhouses were unsafe, and he missed more than 3 uppercuts anti airs in one video. Those were his game-winning chances, but you did what you needed to get the job done.

Good stuff.

Here’s my first match against Keno at L.A. Riots

(Part 2 of Match)

Me vs UmeShoryu (Ryu) at SHGL’s

The quality is bad. And there was a button malfunction on his end so thats what
the pause was for.

Me vs Tatsu (Vega) at SHGL’s

Again bad quality. I played the matchup wrong. Should have fireball zoned more. Tatsu is godlike with Vega though.

Good shit on your matches against Keno.. Solid play and the lameness .

Good shizza my nizza.

Lol @ the interview with you not even bothering to look at the person giving the interview.

This is my chun li FADC combo

Fun stuff, but of course I’m sure you know you can juggle off that without the FADC, either from the basic launcher or after all the rising kicks.

I do wish she had a real FADC that was practical in matches…but somehow I doubt they will add that in super.

Even some of her bigger combos seem wasteful to FADC. I think the best one I came up with was:

j.rh > st.rh > fierce kikoken FADC > c.jab x 3 > st.fierce

And even then…I figure that is probably not worth spending the two bars…unless you have a full meter, but if you have that, then this is probably the best option:

j.rh > st.rh > fierce kikoken XX Super

Finally !!!
I requested someone do this exact combo months ago!!! THANK YOU! I knew it would look badass

At around 400 damage that’s all for show.

But what a show it is, that shit is tight!

I like that mixup in the corner!
That instant headstomp totally mindfucked him, he didn’t know where to block.

You choked on your execution on many occasions, and used df+hk too much as okizeme.
You might want to look into a better way of getting EX Legs to come out more consistently because it happened way too many times that you got c.mk x regular legs, that’s dangerous!
Instead of using df+hk as you main tool for okizeme, work on the safe-jump since it’s no risk and high reward if it lands.
The df+hk should be used as a once in a blue moon tool to catch them off guard, unless you learn how to time it so it also becomes a safe-jump.
IMO though safejump is the strongest option against Sagat, she has lots of mixups available to her from it and most of them are safe too.

Good shit on winning, RickyTTT is a strong player and Sagat is a frikkin strong character, but you pulled through!

Agreed

Using after a forward throw and forward dash seems to be the safest approach if
do choose to abuse it.

obviously they can’t do a quick wake up and it catches them in that ambiguous
sweet spot where they aren’t sure where to block.

What safe jump setups are there on sagat other than the standard one off a forward throw?

Cheers

One size fits all, no homo.

Or in this case, one mixup defeats all defensive options.

I’m aware of Sagat’s new escape, just empty land throw it.

Safe jump fierce to condition them to block (or the ‘new’ escape)

Empty throw the block or new escape

Empty low short for slightly more damage. The problem with this is you need EX legs to loop the okizeme, I’ve seen videos of myself doing this without meter and I lost momentum against a good defensive player. Settling for short jab jab fierce, that is. Then I had to work to get back in.

Heavy hitter = When they want to get out, double fierce into close roundhouse -> normal LL into a knockdown of choice. Into sweep combo or just EX legs after it.

This is me vs wolfkrone’s viper in losers finals of Michigan Masters i got raped bad with chun lik i gotta learn the viper match up which i am doing atm

A few things I noticed:

-You weren’t really poking much. You didn’t use standing strong at all. Instead you were doing a lot of focus attacks that weren’t working out for you.
-Lack of hazan shu. Your opponent was crouch blocking all day. Throw in some hazan shus to mix it up, I’m sure st. mp xx hazan shu would have caught him off guard the way he was sitting on db.
-Your blockstrings weren’t very threatening. End with hazan shu or walk up low shorts or walk up c.lp st.hk xx hazan shu rather than kikoken, then throw more once he’s afraid of hazan / frame trap.
-You didn’t really threaten on his wakeup. You can do meaty low shorts / low forward for free if he doesn’t have ultra, and from there do a frame trap or tick throw.
-You jumped a lot. Jump is bad with chun

You know, some martial arts movie quotes would be suiting for Chun’s game play.

“You must be one, with ___(Chun-Li)”

I also picture Chun’s anti airs against Viper like a blind folded instinct counter. You don’t think about it, or know what you’re going to do…just react with nature because it’s the right thing to do, and the results will be nice.

Chun is like the only character that has like 8 different angles and buttons for anti airs, you just gotta know.

Like low forwarding under those burning kicks calmly.

But yeah, stay calm against Viper.

/random BS

thanks for the reply man, but I think I should have worded my question better…

I was actually meaning could you get those safe jump mixups off anything other than forward throw? Like a cr.HK, or quick rolled EX legs?
I always try d/f+HK stuff after those knockdowns, or just standard mixups. Just trying to think of best way to safely “loop the okizeme” as you mentioned.

Cheers again
