the lk-lightning kicks > c.mk never connects for me. i donāt really get the whole frame data stuff so i find it hard to get any sort of timing down.
iāve connected the c.mk > super seperately, but just that section of the combo. right frustrating. my thumb is sore from holding down-back so long haha.
edit: maybe to be more clear, its the c.mk after the lightning kicks thats hard, not the other bit. gonna go watch some youtube vids for timingā¦

Hey first time posting, whatās up guys. Finally got the game yesterday (even though I could have bought it twice after all those rentals, but my friend probably got tired of me monopolizing his xbox)
Yeah trial mode, sweet jesus this is ridiculous. It was all going so smooth until hard mode trial 2. I have read the posts but just canāt get the second cr. mk in time. If I double tap the mk button does it prolong the lk hyakuretsukyaku and stop the hit getting in there on time?
Possibly, if youāre doing it too early. (I assume youāre talking about the last mk, the one you cancel into ultra. If not, double-tapping mk will have no effect on the lk legs which you do afterwards.)
Once I figured out the knack, it was simply a matter of doing it several times, varying the timing on that last cr.mk xx super.
The simplest way for me is to:
*double-tap the jumping HK
*double-tap the crouching MK
*tap LK once
*at this point you should have pressed exactly 5 buttons and chun should be doing an lk legs
*and now, just wait for the legs to finish and hit with cr.mk xx super.
Donāt try and rush all these double-taps. Thereās a rhythm to them, similar to the [media=youtube]-GmqXSQgjsA#t=1m20s[/media], but maybe slightly faster iirc. LK legs puches back quite a lot, so your original jump-in has to be deep otherwise you will be too far out. Also, I donāt really think there is a need for double-tapping the last MK before the super, as you already have a 6-frame window as far as I know. As far as links go this is fairly lenient.

I think the mp has to come out at the earliest possible moment after you connect the focus attack.

Maybe I was doing it wrong, but this didnāt work, backdash put me out of far mp range.
I mightāve been wrong, but I remember doing far mp to clear this since the window to land super is so huge
Naa⦠Thatās how I did it. But instead, after the FA, I dashed forward and then started walking backwards for the charge into far MP into super.
You know you can dash forwards off the Focus Attack and charge as you dash then hit mp and keep charging during the mp, which will stick dan to the floor (because of the dash forwards) and just put the super on the end of the second hit on the mp as you have long enough to charge itā¦
Thatās the easiest way to do it rather than timing the mp far to hit a pin on dan, its the same as the cr.fp > SBK combo you have to do in training

Putting this up here: Iām going to get heavily LOLād at, but I canāt get passed the first set of trials. Itās the mk -> mk -> mk? I canāt get that up/down mk to land, period. Iāve gone through every one elseās normal, just not hers.

Hold back and press mk
as soon as you have keep back held
Press mk again
now whilst that kick is hitting just spam down then up constantly whilst pressing mk
spamming the up/down on the stick makes this almost impossible to fail

LOL was deserved, it really was. I ended up finally getting the timing on it a few mins after I posted it (with the lack of spamming the up/down motion).
My main isnāt Chun-Li and I just got smoked by two of the fellowship of the thighs. Iām considering picking her up just because of how annoying she was against Gouken.
Iām not near my PS3 right now, but if I remember correctly Chunās Hard Mode 5 is
j.HK, s.FP, EX Kikoken, EX Focus Attack, b+MK Command Kicks, Ultra.
The problem I think most people have with this trial is either A) getting the Focus Attack to connect or B) getting the Ultra to juggle.
If A, be sure to charge to a level 2 Focus Attack when you cancel from EX Kikoken, because Dan needs to crumple in order for this combo to work. You will know your Focus Attack hit and caused a crumple if you get the ink splash effect and if the screen freezes briefly. Do a dash forward out of the Focus Attack and immediately go into the b+MK Command Kicks.
If you have trouble connecting the Ultra, I would say itās just a matter of practice. What tends to help me is to start charging back as soon as I finish the Command Kicks combo, and actually allow Chun to walk back a little before executing the Ultra instead of charging down-back. If you are still having trouble juggling with Ultra, try just doing the Command Kicks into Ultra. Once you have that down just put the whole combo together.
