I see a lot of combos but with the heavy scaling in this game it seems like I’m better off going for the easy stuff than trying anything too complex, what do you guys think?
No video but I’ve got a kinda nasty reset on a stun combo.
jump in 2xfp -> cr.fp vtc > Vskill > 3x stomp -> 2xfp > dash under > df.fwd (overhead) > cr.jab > cr.fwd xx mk sbk or if you have super and you can kill end it with cr.fwd xx CA
IDK if this has happened to anybody else but I can’t manage to replicate it at all, I sweeped the dummy in training mode and it didn’t knock him down, he just went into hitstun.
It was fucking weird, the frame rate took a tumble as well.
Maybe idle animation where the first hit whiffed and second hit connected? Were you in v-trigger. About the only thing I can think of other then a real glitch.
It’s a glitch. I’ve had it happen to me as well outside of v-trigger in a match where I used it as a poke. I even had another glitch happen where I was in v-trigger and hit with c.HK after crush counter b.HP VTC and the game only registered a regular c.HK instead of the multiple hits. There’s also glitches where b.HP won’t act as a crush counter. At first I thought it was training room only but that shit happened in a few matches last night where you could see the jab animation get beat clean but all they did was reel back.
Corner your opponent
Turn recovery to "No recovery"
stand belly to belly
cr.HK
dash
st.HK ( whiff ) > notice the pushback on whiff of a standing RH! This doesn’t happen with any other of her normals.
Makes for fun, hard reads/baits. Not too strong but interesting none the less.
Yeah same, this shit is mad hard, and it’s very punishing if you drop it, especially when you have the opponent in the corner and you fail your stomp/iial and now you’re in the corner lol
btw, if you don’t have the best execution and struggle with getting consistent instant air lightning legs (after a jab or something), then watch this short video:
St HP VTC moves you really close and you can (almost?) always link CR.HP xx LLegs so I believe you should be in range. Totally forgot to test it myself, sorry
Ghetto option select against Nash’s V-Reversal. If you sniff it out, instead of doing the standard c.jab, c.jab, c.fwd xx fp kikoken block string input the first jab and delay c.fwd by a couple frames while holding down back, if he v-reversals after the first jab you’ll get overhead and hit him during his recovery. Did this during casuals at the foundry last night, the Nash was not very pleased.
St HP VTC into vskill never links, not even point-blank. I think you don’t have enough frame advantage to link it (vskill has a really long startup), whereas you do get enough frame advantage from cr.hp VTC.
I know we have some meaty setups on page one, but does anyone have anymore? I feel like it’s a big hole in my game right now when I’m trying to keep up pressure
