I don’t know I see chun Li as a very strong character now even with the nerfs. I’ve learned to use the SBK in a new way, I know I don’t miss that forward backflip and they didnt take away standing strong or her walking Super. Althought I played Guile in ST as my main I may convert to Chun li atleast untill I get my stick

Chun Li vs Dictator
Does anyone have any Chun Li strats vs Dictator when he goes into a endless loop of Psycho Crushers? Personally, I find this very hard to get out of. Help please!

Anyone got a good strategy against Vega/Claw? I’m too scared to jump on him and he’s so fast now I havent found a good way to take him out of a wall drive. I’ve tried spamming jab but I get thrown out alot and jumping back and dont say SBK cause thats never works! I don’t play him enough to get good at anything, my only thing is to try and corner him asap with mp and tick throw but thats a crap shoot.

I was playing around with chun-li and trying to figure out what stops close jump ins. Her straight up jumping short is ridiculously good at knocking anything out of the air.
Against walldive your best bets are j.lk and j.hk if you ask me, and that’s ofc from standing position. If you’re coming up from the ground you can gamble with upkicks but if the Claw player is good he can make it so that his dive beats it so the most consistant option is to simply block.
I usualy try to pressure him down into the corner with lp kikoukens, straight up j.hk, j.lk, lightning kicks, c.mk, mp and c.hk because once he’s in the corner it becomes easier controling his walldive attempts since you can stop him from going up on the left or right side with the same move j.lk/straight up j.hk.
Also if he is pressuring you with jump ins you can walk under and throw him towards the closest corner. Timing a safe jump vs. him is just about the same as vs. a shoto since flip becomes active on the 6th frame (srk on 5th) so that’s a good tactic for pressuring him on the ground, especially now that df+hk doesn’t cross over anymore.
I think part of my problem is that I’m using the D-pad and I dont have good access to jab and short buttons. Things will change when I get my stick completed But thanks for the advice I have been completly ignoring my LK’s I forgot how much I needed them.
That jump up short kick is hilarious. I was just throwing it out at random and it stopped everything. The best use was killing air hurricanes people love to do. Also worked really well to land on cammy’s spirals and stuff anything sagat tiger knee/uppercuts. I use it just like the jump up ninja kick in mk2.

Or stand up when you block it and then punish it with far strong or something.
You can just walk up and throw it sometimes, especially if you’re near the corner. Or, you can just use lightning legs. Do lightning legs and add in a few abrupt stops and jump straight up. If you’re doing a bunch of lightning legs, Dic will have to stop coming at you with Psycho Crusher/Scissor Kicks, and either jump at you or go for a headstomp/Devil Reverse. This is why you should jump straight up; neutral J.Roundhouse is your best bet for beating all of these. It’s the best at beating his jump-ins, and you have a HUGE advantage if you knock Dic down.

The free throw depends on what psychocrusher you’re blocking and the spacing of Dictator when he does it. But generaly the fierce version is punishable afaik.
A few more tips against Bison’s psycho crusher
If you’re mid screen as he passes through, you can sometimes catch his feet with a standing strong. If you’re in the corner you can get a throw but you gotta time it right cause bison will also try and throw. I like to stay on top of him and corner him if I get the chance jumping in with m.k and then the combo of your choice. Standing strong while walking forward is one of my favorite’s cause it will stuff most of his charge moves and you can use it to tick throw once in a while. Oh and don’t forget about jumping up with L.K it has very high priority against just about anyone. Most fights end with Bison\Dictator in the corners either I corner him or he corners me in that case I jump back with M.K and either throw or use my lightning kicks to keep him back and get chip damage. When fighting Bison I am very aggressive and don’t let up for a second he’s one of the only characters you can safe jump on and do lots of chip damage with your kicks so use it. Anyway hope that helps

Standing forward when close is quick and effective or you could just take the hit and throw but thats a gamble.
