Do you only get the juggle on V trigger stomp with CH?
Were these combos viable in Beta 3? Doubt the damage is the same.

Not all of these, no. For example: st.mp only went into f.mp on counterhit in phase 3 and you could only get a cr.lp off of air legs.

Were any of you consistently holding your charge, doing a st.mp and following it up with a fireball? I did a couple times by accident during phase 3, but I couldn’t exactly do it naturally.

Interesting the video date is from beta 3, but frame data indeed shows s.mp doesn’t link into f.mp. Maybe that specific combo makes it a meaty?

I’ve done it a few times but only by accident like yourself. I recall seeing video of somebody doing a combo with it in the corner using ex fb that acted as a meaty extender. I believe it was jump in whatever, low jab, strong, ex fb, short, ex legs.
Depending on frame data at launch I could see strong into ex fb possibly being part of some optimal corner/char-specific combo, sort of like low jab, strong, low fwd, short sbk. I guess we’ll see.

Yeah that was a change from after Beta 1 (used to be able to pop up with non v-trigger stomp on CH).

I think that only works on a meaty hit. Otherwise you need counter hit (juggle off CCH) or V Trigger.

So input the cr.mk after the st.mp earlier to get the charge necessary to land a SBK? I was hoping there would be a solid way to get a charge off after a standing normal instead of by accident. Awesome if that’s the way.

Well all it takes is you altering your button press timing to be able to consistently do it, the standing mp cancel is super easy, I do it with Rog a lot of the time.
You know what is hard? Doing EX Kikoken extensions. That shit is tough, couldn’t get it down at all. I’m super excited to get my hands on full release, between Chun-Li and Ken I’m gonna be hard pressed to leave training mode for a couple weeks.
