Two things i got from it will be that our st.mp will be a really good tool to fish for counter hits into super. As well as our crush move comboing into CA since it launches.
Iām feeling like weāll want to use meter for V-reversals and Ex SBK in defensive situations
Mostly saving for Critical Arts.
Damage off of Ex LLegs doesnāt seem to add up from what Iāve seen so far. It certainly has itās merits such as safely activating V-trigger.
However, the best meterless combo so far is Cr.hp or mk xx LK LLegs, Cr. Lp xx Lk SBK. just over 300 pts of Dmg
with a charged kikouken, v-skill, cr. hk, throw, F+Hk, D/F+Mk and canāt forget D/F Hk
we have an impressive list of options to continue pressure each with their own risk/reward of course.
I feel confident we land this combo and able to follow up into another combo, stun is quickly on the horizon.
Not bad for Beta tech.
V-Trigger is what will make her lethal. combined with CA can be very scary
c.MK comboing to fireball is quite interesting; i always thought it was too slow to combo like that. Someone might want to test the max range you can combo that since that seems like the best way outside of v-trigger to safely hit confirm into super. I can see 3s shimmy b.HP xx fireball xx super being quite prominent in SF5 Chun now.
I found an abridged video of (Detroit) AlucarDās SFV winstreak at Evo.
At 4:15, a Chun Li playing Capcom dev tries to stop him, and shows off some decent stuff, like punishing Bisonās head stomp with air throw, and a hitconfirmed V Trigger combo at 6:15.
Yeah, it looks like he super-cancelled the headstomp, probably trying to punish the punish attempt. I just wish the dev did a better combo off of V trigger, or at least EX legs; he wouldāve probably won.
Itās all about her V-Trigger. We just need her V-Skill to help us build V-Meter to complement it. If she can get V-Trigger at a good pace, sheāll be a strong contender due to the pure amount of options she has available to her.
Nice, so f.HK is definitely airborne if it can corpse hop. Chun is a PROBLEM in VT, the hard part is fighting out how to utilize her v skill consistently in a real match. If Iām able to play later today, Iāll basically be grinding out VS/VT setups so weāll have a heads up on how she should be played come release. What is her crush move? I totally forgot about it when I had the chance to play, but I definitely want to mess around with it and see how viable it is to attempt.
Yes, itās like fighting yang with seien enbu, there are hits everywhere every time and you get locked down because she is + everywhere can confirm EZPZ every hit and got her kara throw ⦠In the corner I became crazy when pressed even by a beginner chun v-trigger.
Not knowing for both side what is going on doesnāt help. With time chun players will learn the best set up and we will learn the answers to those but it will likely take several months to figure this totally out.
