Just went 14-1 vs. a Karin/Nash who I just couldnât crack. No idea where I went wrong, I just got hit by all of their buttons and felt useless in the neutral.
Nope, that award goes to Cammyâs EX Divekick in SF4. Now that was the most broken divekick there ever was. +12 on block, +5million on hit, beats all antiairs except DP.
Iâm not sure if this is obvious, or if it has already been mentioned, but in v trigger chunâs multi hitting normals blow through armor. Was just fighting a laura and chunâs vt hp stuffed lauraâs ex elbow charge
In what situations should I be using f+HK and what are the benefits? I know I can get a CH combo, but it doesnât seem to go over lows, which screws me up.
Not sure if anyone posted this but itâs possible to confirm cr.mk into mk legs by doing cr.mk and hold mk -> df release mk if it hits(negative edge) or continue holding if itâs blocked. Itâs still very difficult to do on reaction, but I find itâs easier to throw the cr.mk out, perform the df motion like itâs a normal cancel and release on hit rather than performing the motion on reaction.
Beautiful move. Looks glorious as well. And, a very nice anti-air to boot. Chun Li just rises her leg upwards to deliver a nice high kick to the opponents face. Fascinating. Found this image in the SFV general discussion thread. I could not avoid posting this image on this thread.
After an air throw an immediate f+HK will give you +2 on block and +6 on hit against a quick rise and leave you able to do a throw as a frame trap. If you space it well against characters like Cammy and other Chunâs who like cr. MK you can blow over the cr. MK for a cr. jab combo (if well spaced you can combo from it on normal hit) or even be 0 or +1 letting you keep the advantage. It is too slow to throw out often, but definitely has a purpose in other places and the high active frames make it an EXCELLENT meaty in some situations.
Man I woulda shimmied with that target combo at 0:34 SO DAMN HARD:
âŚBut as she is now, a good shimmy is st. MP (gotta step up a bit after baiting the throw) since it is a more legit confirm to link into cr. MK than just throwing out cr. MK first and not being sure if you did it fast enough to punish imo. That makes me feel too uneasy cancelling raw cr. MK into any move besides EX Legs or V-trigger. With St. MP⌠I can visually confirm into something meterless (and get a bit more damage from the extra normal).
If there are any really solid Chun Liâs out there Iâd be interested in some mirrorâs. Feel free to add me and invite me to some matches. HEARTofSPACE is my SFV username.
