EDIT: Dammit Gensou

I hit reply, got the “You must wait X seconds until you can post again.”, and went to get something to eat.

:wgrin:

I’m surprised nobody redirected him earlier.

cheers!

Not sure if this has been posted allready but, I found out that Chun’s best meterless shoryu punisher seems to be this:
**
Basic shoryukens like Ken/Ryu/Akuma:**
Meterless: cl.hk xx lk legs, far hp - 225dmg - 70% meter gain
Difficult Meterless: cl.hk xx hk legs, cr.lp, far hp - 262dmg - 80% meter gain
Meter: cr.lp, cl.hk xx ex legs - 260 dmg - 70% meter loss
Difficult Meter: cl.hk xx hk legs, cr.lp, cr.mk xx ex legs - 324dmg - 30% meter loss

Against Sagat the best punish you get against his shoryuken is:
Meterless: mk hazanshu, cr.lp, far hp - 240dmg - 65% meter gain
Meter: mk hazanshu, cr.lp, cr.mk xx ex legs - 313dmg - 55% meter loss

Against Cammy the best punish you get against her shoryuken is:
Meterless: hk hazanshu, cr.lp, far hp - 270dmg - 65% meter gain
Meter: hk hazanshu, cr.lp, cr.mk xx ex legs - 378dmg - 55% meter loss

Best focus combos:
Meterless Dash-in: lk hazanshu, cr.lp, far hp - 248dmg
Difficult Meterless Dash-in: cl.hk xx hk legs, cr.lp, far hp - 278dmg
Meter Dash-in: lk hazanshu, cr.lp, cr.mk xx ex legs - 299dmg
Difficult Meter Dash-in: cl.hk xx hk legs, cr.lp, cr.mk xx ex legs - 318dmg
**
Meterless Backdash:** hk hazanshu - 200dmg
Difficult Meterless Backdash: jump in, stompx1, j.hp~hp, stomp x3 - 246dmg
Meter Backdash: ex hazanshu - 240dmg
Difficult Meter Backdash: jump in, stompx1, j.hp~hp, ex sbk - 258dmg (combos into ultra)
Backdash Misc: jump in.rh, reset, mk hazanshu - 160+30dmg on block - 160+313dmg on hit

Man, I do wish I was consistent with that hk legs, cr.lp link. From what skatan posted it does such nice damage.

Either im slow or im late (someone tell me which). I’ve been switching mains and I’ve been trying to main Chun-li. Now I was testing execution and did a little experiment. On the 4th tile in training mode on the left, me on 2p side using 2x c.lk EX legs ultra. Now I kno its character specific, the characters I tried it on where rufus, sagat, seth, ryu, akuma, dan, and zangief. It connected for all but Akuma… It worked with ryu and dan i believe but for not Akuma? So either my execution is wrong or it just doesnt work for him. Does anyone have a list and if its been posted here b4 im an idiot for not looking lol. Pretty sure it doesn’t work for blanka, he falls faster then anyone else

There is a character list for that? I never knew that Blanka fell abnormally faster than everyone else though I don’t try it on Blank because of his ground tricks. but there is always this thread

A new combo I’ve been working on getting down is this one:
**
HK Hazanshu, EX Legs, Ultra
HK Hazanshu, EX Legs, EX SBK, Ultra**

The EX Legs will connect pretty much no matter the range on normal characters, I don’t know about small ones yet, and it gives low revision when you go into ultra.
LK/HK hazanshu into ex legs seems to whiff against plenty of crouching characters
Just HK HS, EX Legs, Ultra does 300 damage to most characters, some will get hit 4 times (Blanka, Cammy, Dhalsim, Gief and maybe more) so it will deal 350 to them.
Against some other characters you might end up with just 2 hits if you hit it from far away (Rose, Boxer and maybe more) which does 250 damage.
When you combo the ultra after ex legs you will end up at around 590-640damage depending on how many hits from ex legs you got.

Now you’re probably wondering how much the combo does when you add the EX SBK before the ultra, well, I can tell you that it does A LOT. As always depending on how many hits you get off of EX Legs it will differ but here’s the general amount:
2hit EX Legs - 636
3hit EX Legs - 686
4hit EX Legs - 736

Yupp, that’s right it can go up to 736 damage, which is pretty insane since Dhalsim is one of the characters it can do that to and HK Hazanshu is a great anti far hp tool in that matchup.

Of course you can also use lk/mk hazanshu to do the same combos I’ve written above, it’s even easier from mk hazanshu but you need to be that much closer which means they’re less likely to throw a fireball at that range.

One more combo then, or basically just a variation of the one I wrote above:
Opponent in the corner
CH cl.HK xx LK Hazanshu, EX Legs, EX SBK, Ultra - 622-677-722dmg

The beauty of this combo is that in the corner, no matter how close you are to it, EX SBK will always be able to combo into ultra. They won’t fling away behind you and they won’t spin around so you lose your charge, it’s a consistent way of comboing into ultra.
If you’re further away from the wall it’s better to use this combo:

CH cl.HK xx MK Hazanshu, EX Legs, Ultra - 571-621-671

So all in all, learning how to combo ex legs after hazanshu is good shit

How consistently can you combo EX legs after hasan-shu?

Do you just mash and hope for the best? lol

I could never get it to combo on a regular basis.

I am very consistent after mk hazanshu now, after lk/hk I’m only at 35-40%.

Does it have to be a CH Hazanshu for the last 2 combos, or can it be landed off of a normal hit as well? I assume it’s CH only because you specifically noted that, but just for clarification’s sake I thought I’d ask.

Yeah, it’s counter hit only since cl.hk only combos into lk/mk hazanshu on counter hit.
If it combod into them on normal hit it would be pretty broken ^^; Because that would also mean cl.hk xx fadc, ultra would work on normal hit, which would be pretty awesome!

nice thread but i still dont understand all of the lingo

I dont see why thats so bad. It would be harder to pull off than Sagat’s FADC, and his does a lot more damage.

Like what for example?

The first couple of posts in that thread are worth a read

Are non-EX SBK and Lightning Legs worth a damn in combos? From the frame data non-EX SBK looks like it would deal more damage, but I know sometimes it doesn’t autocombo right.

The mk version of SBK is bomb in combos. You can do j. hk / fp x2, cr. hp / mk, mk SBK, and then there’s a variety of things you can do after that. Not sure about the frame data but it seems Chun is at least equal at this point. It’s kind of like after Ken’s EX Tatsu kick. Anyway you can follow up with her usual…

-block

-EX SBK (and then into ultra for the ultimate steez)

-j. hk (overhead)

-cr. lk EX Legs

-throw

-lk HSU

-super (you can combo into the super if you time it right, it’s one of the trials)

Non EX Legs are not that used but can be comboed into. Whenever I have super available I like to go for the jump in. If it’s a deep jump in then I go for the mk SBK, super combo. If not then j. mk, mk legs, super (a lot easier to time by the way)

Chun scrub here, please pardon the barrage of questions.

Is there a better no meter punisher than this (Say for stun)?

Neutral j.fp (both hits) -> cr.fp xx MK SBK: 356 Damage

Why is cr.lk xx cr.lk -> EX Lightning Legs preferred over cr.lk xx cr.lp -> cr.mk xx EX Legs? It does better damage (223 Damage is what I got).

Also, is it really reliable to do mk SBK -> Super? That shit is hard.

When comboing from Lightning Legs, do you want to immediately cancel out of the legs? It goes on for longer if you mash right?

I was wondering about this too. It makes absolutely no sense that you can do this. Someone should check to see if you can get it to come out by doing cr.lk, cr.lk, and then mashing :mk: and :hk:. If it’s not a kara-cancel, it should still come out. But I’m pretty sure it doesn’t come out.

Edit: It still comes out. I’m really confused now.

Its how you play but not what you know

You can trying j.fp x2 -> Tenshokyaku
or try
Air-to-air j.HP, HP, j.MK x 3 ( stomping shenanigans)

I believe that cr.lk gives more of an frame opportunity than cr.mk.

I haven’t even tried that, I am working on Hazanshuu -> Super
Edit, You could combine cr.FP-> mk.SBK -> Super but it seems like it has like a small window to actually input the move.

It goes on for longer if you mash it.
