As fun as 3S was, I only really came to watch the 5-on-5 and I have to say, Justin called it right. It was basically 5 of TOSF’s good players vs. Jiggabry and Gerjay. I woulda thought that Gerjay would do better, but maybe he was having an off day.
IMO, hands down, Jiggabry is the best MvC2 in Sauga/Toronto. So props to him. That said, just cuz he lives in Sauga doesn’t make Sauga king of Marvel.
I have to echo Marvin in that DarkFuckingDragon came outta nowhere with a four-year-old team and went 4-1. That is fucking serious. Busted skill all over your faces. But as cool as that was, I think that’s more a comment on the Canadian Marvel scene in general. If Stephen can show up with Cable/Blackheart/Doom and go 4-1 on Sauga’s supposed best, that’s pretty sad. No offense to Stephen, but he gets owned in US Marvel tourneys, which basically means collectively Canada gets owned with the possible exception of Jigga.
So in the end, what does it matter who’s better in Marvel – Sauga or TO – the bottom line is if collectively you’re all playing at a scrub level compared to everywhere else, it makes no difference in the world.
For the record, I also think Eric was fucking around that first match to show off, and would have continued to fuck around if the team didn’t tell him to settle his nutsack and win the fucking thing. I think he could easily take anyone on that team with the exception of the Natural Disasters (Jigga and Gerjay).
I also think Nathan/G3nn is a pure shit-talker. Nathan, maybe you’d have some real friends if you played like you do and were actually nice to people – let your skill talk for you. Instead, you’re just a poor man’s Tony – bullshit all you can till the community shuns you and you find an excuse to stop entering tourneys.
Lastly, yeah Jon didn’t do that great, but I loved that one much he had where he lost his point character and Sauga goes fucking nuts… fast forward 30 seconds and two Sent combos later and Jon owns up the dude as Sauga sits in silence. This is coming off of six months of no gaming. If Jon played half as much as Jiggabry he’d be a force. Recognize bitches.

- isaac didnt adapt at all. he played like shit.
- brys is the only person in canada besides the mustache that i see with any potential for world class play.
- sauga wanted to bet money in the first place but im pretty sure curt made us call it off because it was casuing too much beef.

Because the tournament was at orbit and the 5 on 5 was already on before I had any idea of it even existing. I was the one to post about making it a money match, I wasn’t challenging people to the 5 on 5. Everyone seem to keep comming back at me with all these retarded points. Get your fucking facts straight before you ask me why I agreed to the 5 on 5 in the first place. I wasn’t part of starting the 5 on 5 at all.

lol yea… it was isaac graham we were going to dress him up as my step brother. It wasn’t gonna work though because to many things were said by people and it kinda blew it. So we didn’t try to do the whole step brother thing and isaac just came. He got 2nd place in the tourny.

I dont think we really asked for it do go down. The idea was thrown out because it didnt happen the previous year. American sticks dont exist in toronto and they cant get 5 marvel players to travel more than 20minutes to play. So its not like we had any other choice but to play it at orbit.

No Chris; I didn’t see you miss tri jumps and lose to OG master TOSF player. I was too busy running the R4 and then CvS2, keeping Marc up to date on what needed repairs here and there and taping Marvel on top of all of that because people want to see where they’re making mistakes (admirable, it’s how you learn). If you get so shook by one loss to some guy you’ve never heard of, you’ve got more issues as a solid player than you realize. We all have good and bad days, but if you put up smack for two months and then don’t even bother to enter because some guy you’ve never heard of beats you, it doesn’t say much for you at all. The US vs Jap stick issue is beyond old by this time. Like I said in a previous post, we’ve been playing on both sets of sticks for years now. I needed to adapt to ORBIT sticks so I bought an Agetec and split my practice time between Jap and US sticks. YOU OWN AN AGETEC (I’m not sure everyone else is aware of that) and yet you still blame jap sticks for poor performance. Just suck it up for once, the excuses run tired after a while.

I put more money into that 5 on 5 than anyone else because I believed you guys had enough talent to win by at least a slim margin. I looked over the situation, pegged Bryan at 5 wins, Gerjay at 4 (which cost me $5 on it’s own on a bet with Nathan) and figured that somehow God himself would help 3 players to four wins in fifteen tries. Lord knows that was apparently too much to ask. You talk to any person that I put money behind. I PAY THEM EVERY TIME!
